Frieden ohne Waffen?

Peace without weapons? Is that even possible? Is it sensible? It’s a difficult question, and my Gen Z film crew and I wanted to get a sense of just how “secure” our peace in Europe really is. We also visited NATO’s eastern flank in Lithuania, where we met General Christoph Huber, who is establishing the Bundeswehr’s 45th Armored Brigade. For me, this wasn’t entirely unfamiliar—I was part of one of the final cohorts to undergo mandatory military service. For my film crew, however, it was an entirely new and foreign world. But see for yourselves—and feel free to help us expand our “Puzzle of Peace.” The new episode, “Peace without Weapons?”, is now available on our YouTube channel (in German, with English subtitles):

Women are more effected by wars than most people know. But did you know how hopeful this forgotten superpower could be in peace processes? Just a small piece of an interview with former Foreign Minister of Sweden Ann Linde 2025 in Bommersvik close to Stockholm for our international documentary series and social movement "Puzzle of Peace". @annlindepolitiker tells us as one the pioneers of Feminist Foreign Policy why we should keep on fighting for more equal rights and more women in international politics and peace making and peace keeping. I asked former Feminist Foreign Minister of Sweden, @annlindepolitiker : Is it a man's world? International politics and global powerful companies are mostly lead by men. But half of the worlds population are female. How can a world be peaceful and fair if just a few old and rich men decide about the future of all 8.3 billion? For our episode 4 of "Puzzle of Peace" documentary series (now for free on Youtube) we met Ann Linde in 2025 at Bommersvik outside Stockholm. She explained to us how Feminist Foreign Policy works and how a female signature could bring more peace to the world. What do you think about ❔

Half of the worlds population are female but women are barely represented in international politics and conflict resolution. Since Margot Wallström established Feminist Foreign Policy as Foreign Minister of Sweden an inspiring movement started in 2014. But where are we now? Watching the news it feels like a backlash right now. Men are running politics, conflicts and wars in the world. Can equal representation of women bring more peace to the world and humanity? We've met Swedens former Foreign Minister @annlindepolitiker outside Stockholm at one of her favorite places for negociations: Bommersvik. Ann Linde continued the work of her political friend Margit Wallström in 2019 and makes still hope for a better world and a better future - if women and girls have more chances to participate in politics and peace processes.

Juliano Ribeiro Salgado explores - like his father and photographer Sebastiao - the human nature. But why? And what can we learn from our routes thousands of years back before civilization? Juliano found as a filmmaker and thinking person a lot of good reasons to learn from people who are still living close to nature and origin cultures. Follow this trace with us on the adventure of "The Puzzle of Peace". You find the full episode 2 now for free on ▶️ Youtube: https://youtu.be/_z00Bf7iMXU?is=D8jFA8RgqUS53YR5

Episode 2 is now online and it's all about the future of humanity and how we can create peace instead of violance in a changing climate among people. What can we do as filmmakers, journalists or photographer? The biggest challenge for peace in this century is the climate - the natural AND the social climate. But we are not without ideas...It's wonderful to have @juliano_r_salgado for this episode because he is one of the inspiring people who give hope by just doing and listening, improving and including. From his parents he continues the miracle like story of @institutoterrafoundation where dead soil in his homeland Brazil was turned into a forrest again, where a depression about humanity was turned into hope bei Lelia and Sebastiao Salgado. Maybe you know this story from his movie "The Salt of the Earth" with filmmaker Wim Wenders. Inspired and empowered we continue now the story of hope like Juliano does. Find out more on
