three.

in december of 2010 on assignment for @videograss i left for one month in quebec to film with alex cantin, jake kuzyk, frank april, and whoever else tagged along

when i left SLC i had been editing a 15 minute mini-movie of sorts with 3 years of hard drives daisy-chained together on my desk

it was meant to be a memoir of the moments that started with a group of friends and led to being a full time job as professional snowboard filmmaker shooting the best in the world.

after an insanely successful time in the QC i embarked to toronto for christmas and on to NYC for new years, but upon arrival i hear from my roommate
that our house had been burglarized, initially seeming like nothing was taken though when trevor returned he noticed small items/documents missing. this raised the alarm for me to discover that some of mine were gone as well - checkbook and old fake ID being some.

i immediately login to my bank account to notice about $1500 vanished (out of $2100). turns out wells fargo let this man walk into the bank and use my fake ID as valid form to withdraw funds with no pin number or physical debit card.

the bank took care of the money due to fault and later find out he also strolled into the grocery store
and walgreens to handwrite checks for cartons of cigarettes and clothes.

all was fine for the time being, but once i re-entered my home, which felt incredibly strange, the first thing i noticed was a gaping hole on my desk. cords everywhere attached to nothing. hard drives non-existent. years of footage and photos - from guns out, not bad, and the leak - likely sitting at a pawn shop somewhere. except they weren’t anywhere to be found across slc.

what was left is this edit (pt 2/3) w these black slates that would have been filled - coc/not bad. maybe this was meant to happen, to further solidify the art as one of a kind wherever it exists on DVD/web & de-clutter life / the hoarding of imagery (+ massive devices).

or maybe just for this moment
as clean frames to tell the story.

anyways this guy then steals my truck/snowmobile, runs out of gas, steals the guy’s car who helps him, robs another house, runs, jumps off a garage, injured & arrested.

At first glance, this bed appears seamlessly unified—a single uninterrupted form. But behind the illusion lies meticulous craftsmanship and precision planning.

Three panels of sequential walnut veneer were painstakingly cut into jagged forms, carefully keyed together, and meticulously joined with brass inlay. This intricate detail cleverly disguises the seams while forming the bed’s signature visual rhythm. The result: a headboard that feels infinitely continuous, effortlessly bold, and deeply intentional.
