Hello strange people in my phone! It’s been a while and I’m very behind on sharing work with you all. 🥲 In any case I present to you - some recent work!

This is a small collection of stills from the spot I got to direct for @everybodyeatsagency back in July!

I’ve been getting to know John, Natalie, and Scott over the last 6 months or so, after a cold invite to @crea8tiveclub. It’s been a wild ride but so much fun and extremely fulfilling! These folks really know how to push creatives (including me) out of their comfort zone and make cool shit with cool people.

@swerveitslane approached @solomoncohenphotography and I to see if we’d be down to make a trailer for their event ‘Emma Grede, a Portland Conversation’. Of course we said yes to the opportunity. There was a catch though - we only had about a week to plan and shoot the entire thing.

Initially Solomon and I were going to tag team cinematography but after some back and forth we decided it’d be best if I directed the piece and Solomon shot it. I was apprehensive but open to the idea. I’m so glad the team pushed me outside of my comfort zone because I had a blast directing (and editing) this piece. I’m looking forward to the next time I can direct - as long as it’s alongside great people again.

Hats off to the boys and captain @_fossfit_ They earned every bit of this one and put on an absolute clinic. DOMINANT. 🏆

Huge thank you to @elkridgegolfcourse for having us. Course was pure, views were unreal, and the vibes were exactly what an FGC Ryder Cup should be.

Everything starts with an idea. The rest is up to you to execute. Months ago, this was just that: an idea.

I was determined to bring a win to Portland’s founders and entrepreneurs. I see the challenges. I hear the exhaustion. I know the weight of building something you believe in without any guarantee the world will believe in it with you. Sometimes, you just need a room that reminds you to keep going.

Tuesday truly became that room. The energy was unlike anything I’ve felt in Portland in a long time. But what has stayed with me most are the conversations afterward. People left hopeful, reenergized and thinking bigger about what might actually be possible for them.

I’ve admired Emma for years, not simply for what she has built, but for what she represents: ambition without apology, ownership, discipline, and the willingness to bet on yourself.

I remember thinking, I’m going to find a way to get in her orbit.
I had no idea how much work would exist between that thought and these photos.

The calls. The pivots. The late nights. The moments when it would have been easier to make the idea smaller. But we all know how ideas rarely arrive with instructions. Sometimes the only difference between an idea that stays in your head and one that changes a room is your willingness to keep moving toward it before you have proof it will work.

Tuesday was simply that proof.

Thank you, Emma, for saying yes to Portland. ❤️

Alright I’ve had to keep my mouth semi-shut for the past year and a half working on this project, but I now can’t believe it’s finally happening, and I can actually talk about it. Early last year @willlowerygolf reached out with a dream project, he found a way to combine basketball culture with golf and asked if I’d jump in with him and help support, for those of you who know me, you know I freaked out haha.

Long story short, The No Tees Tour (sponsored by @jumpman23 🤯, @golfkohler, and @genesis_usa) has officially launched! @noteestour

I still can’t believe it, I grew up loving basketball and golf, and now get to be a part of a project that’s combining both, and an extra full circle moment for me, but I was super lucky and got to attend MJ flight school (basketball camp) when I was younger and my Xbox gamer tag was “nikeballa8” 😂, so to now be working alongside Will, the entire No Tees Team, Jordan team and @crosshandproductions has been surreal.

Shout out to @jpaiky and @swerveitslane for being the best and most supportive partners ever and allowing my to dive into this project ❤️❤️❤️❤️

On September 1, I’m honored to be joining @everybodyeatsagency as the Community Host for Start With Yourself: A Portland Conversation with Emma Grede at Powell’s City of Books.

@emmagrede , Co-Founder of @skims and Good American and author of Start With Yourself, is coming to Portland for an intimate evening centered around entrepreneurship, leadership, ambition, and what it really takes to build something meaningful.

I’ll have the privilege of welcoming the room and helping bring together an incredible community of Portland founders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and leaders for the evening.

I love seeing experiences like this happen in our city, and even more, seeing our community come together around big ideas, meaningful conversations, and the people building what’s next.
