¡GRACIAS por tu ayuda! Thank you THANK YOU, to each of you who made this possible!! — The kiddos in Cienfuegos Cuba LOVE their gear!! This community is simply amazing. They look after each other- protect, encourage, and do life together. Cuba is difficult right now, moreso than ever. Resources are slim. Problems are bountiful. BUT God is good and these kiddos give me hope that our joy is not tied to easy accommodations. Our hope is in the one who gave us life. Please join me in praying for our little brothers and sisters as they recruit in the streets—other kiddos to join their ranks. That will inevitably bring in more families into the church, and over time- into relationship with Jesus. — I will bless you with one story. We had the opportunity to go to a professional Cuban baseball game. And these kids watched over me and the other blancos like mother hawks. I couldn’t go to take a picture without at least two Cubanitos following me, to make sure I didn’t get scammed or otherwise taken advantage of. ❤️🫶🏽 Random Cuban vendors would laugh and tell me my 11&10 year old bodyguards had my back. HAHHAHAA I love these people so much.

This week has been an overflow of emotion, and through it all, I praise God for His sustainability for my family. As I celebrate my last summer as a youth minister at Hillsboro, I’m excited to begin my new role at Lipscomb University, and introduce Hillsboro’s newest youth minister, Molly! This week also included the weddings of three former interns, leading a retreat with our current interns, and hosting the area-wide Nashville ministers / interns luncheon. My family celebrated Noland’s graduation from 8th grade and we watched Corlee’s last metro school bus ride with Ms. Dee. Oh, and summer can’t begin without the annual HYG kidnap breakfast! This week alone wouldn’t be possible without my closest friends and family, who are always there for support each step of the way! I ask for your prayers as me and my family prepare our hearts to shift my focus from youth ministry to college ministry. We are forever grateful for the past 20 summers with the HYG and I look forward to being a youth group dad to my kids.

To my brother and sister in Christ, This was your day. The day you became unified as one in front of family, friends, and the Lord. It was a beautiful day with lots of beautiful moments. Women laughed, men cried, and vice versa. You two deserve each other. I’ve witnessed the love and commitment you have for each other. I’ve seen the trials and tribulations fail at its attempts to defeat your union. The strength and love God gave the two of you to have for each other is true to the spirit. I couldn’t have been more honored to have stood next to you Guy as you shared your vows with Josie and made your union a permanent bind. For what you bind on earth is also bound in heaven. I know this day was a fulfillment of Gods will for both of your lives. I wish you both the best in love. Cheers to the Duersons 💙🥂 !!!
