In the august presence of Smt. Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles and Dr. M. Beena, Development Commissioner, Handlooms, a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF) and Première Vision SA at Paris to strengthen ties across the global fashion and textile ecosystem.

This partnership will:
• Enable reciprocal participation in global trade shows & knowledge sessions
• Drive joint export promotion and market linkages
• Champion sustainability, circularity & responsible sourcing
• Celebrate Indian and French textile luxury heritage through the Eternal Crafts Collaboration

The MoU was signed by Dr. A Sakthivel, Core Committee Member, BTTF and Chairman, AEPC Ms. Florence Rousson, CEO – Fashion Division, Première Vision SA in the presence of Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Core Committee Member, BTTF and Mr. Vijay Agarwal, Core Committee, BTTF, Mr. Shaleen Toshniwal, Core Committee Member, BTTF and Mr. K. Sakthivel, Director, BTTF among others.
Also present were Ms Shalini , counsellor , embassy of India Paris , sh Sidhartha Rajgopal , ED , Texprocil and Sh N Sreedhar , ED , HEPC during ceremony.

Together, we look forward to building bridges between India and the global fashion and textile ecosystem and weave a future of creativity, sustainability, and shared prosperity.

Ideas were exchanged, #partnerships strengthened, and the roadmap for India’s next big textile milestone moved a step forward in Mumbai. 🧵🌏

𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐱 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 was promoted during the regional consultation in Mumbai, an initiative of the #MinistryofTextiles, following the Union Budget 2026 - 27, aimed at operationalising the Integrated Programme for the #Textile Sector.

There was a focused meeting with #industry stakeholders was held in Mumbai to drive wider participation and #collaboration from Western India for the upcoming global textile #showcase. The interaction brought together key voices from the textile value chain to discuss opportunities, industry priorities, and the growing global significance of Bharat Tex.
