This is opening on Thursday, 4 May 6-9pm ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥 @jpdordolo has made a new body of oil paintings, works on paper plus mock Judd furniture (Dudds he calls them) for some sculptural work. It's a truly knock out exhibition and I'm only slightly biased.

Sometimes film cameras are best! My daughter @sofiacicchine captured me on her Canon F1 with a sculpture by @jpdordolo at @contemporarysculpturefulmer 🌳🌿🌳🌿

It's the last day of @jpdordolo's show with @brookebenington @beadvisors_art. Oosing sculptures, cast paintings and detailed drawings...all the work looks effortless and intricate at the same time. Hats off @jpdordolo 💫- you really did good. We'll both be @ 9 French Place 🥂 this afternoon if any Londoners fancy poping by...

Today 🔥

Join us for the closing brunch of Fever by Jean-Philippe Dordolo.

Saturday 9 October, 10 am - 2 pm
9 French Place, E1 6JB

Jean-Philippe Dordolo is a London-based artist whose practice straddles - and defies - both painting and sculpture, subverting these traditional mediums and turning them to his own ends. His “paintings” are in fact cast wall sculptures, meticulously made by applying pigmented polymer compound into a silicone mould of a canvas and frame. In turn, his sculptures are rich with expressive, painterly gestures, slick with an “impasto” of dripping glaze.
