(feat. 페니워치 에디션, 앰버서더 그리고... ) 2024년 저도 정말 열심히 했지만 페니워치 멤버들 포함해서 힘과 격려와 실질적인 도움을 주셨던 많은 분들 덕분에 감사함으로 한 해를 보내게 되네요. 이런 도움들을 통해 페니워치에 중요한 소식이 몇 개 있어서 기쁜 마음으로 나누고자 합니다! @langheyne Georg Penny Watch Edition (Penny Watch 7th Anniversary) 가장 먼저는 페니워치가 내년 8월이면 7주년을 맞이하게 되는데 독일의 하이엔드 독립시계제작 브랜드인 랑앤하이네와 함께 페니워치 에디션 발매가 확정되었습니다. 내년 7개 한정판으로 발매될 게오르그 페니워치 에디션은 한국에서는 처음으로 시계 커뮤니티와 하이엔드 시계 브랜드의 협업이자 저희가 디자인한 스페셜 피스가 나오는 역사적인 일이기도 합니다. 첫 시작은 랑앤하이네를 수입하게 된 컬렉터스 하우스 대표님의 제안으로 시작되었는데 멤버들 반응이 좋아서 논의가 시작되었고 랑앤하이네에서도 매우 긍정적으로 생각해 주셔서 진행이 수월하게 되었습니다. 저희의 의도대로 다이얼 레이 아웃부터 색상과 재질, 그리고 핸즈와 용두까지 디자인하여 컨펌을 받았고 무브먼트에도 7개 한정판을 나타내는 인그레이빙이 새겨질 예정입니다. 페니워치 한정판 에디션 보증서도 특별하구요. 스트랩도 @109leathers 과 협업하여 게오르그 페니워치 에디션을 위한 특별한 스트랩이 제공될 예정입니다. 한국에서 처음으로 시도하는 협업이고 페니워치 이름으로 선보이는 첫 에디션이라 감회가 새롭네요! 7개 중 이미 6개는 멤버들에 의해 주문이 들어갔고 나머지 1개는 외부로 판매 예정입니다. 제 시계는 조금 먼저 받게 될 예정인데 내년 봄-여름에 다시 한번 소개해 드리겠습니다 :) 좋은 기회를 주신 @collectors.house.kr 대표님께 다시 한번 감사의 말씀을 드립니다. @simon_brette_watches Chronometer Artisans 두 번째 소식은 시몽 브렛과 관련된 소식입니다. 시몽 브렛은 크로노미터 아티장으로 작년 GPHG 상을 받았고 이미 25년 발매될 제품까지 모두 솔드 아웃된 가장 인기 있는 독립시계제작자 둥 한 명입니다. 지난 8월에 두불루님을 통해 크로노미터 아티장을 소개받고 리뷰도 남겼는데 동시에 두불루님께서 시몽 브렛과 연결을 해주셨습니다. 저와 페니워치를 좋게 평가해 주어 감사히도 시몽 브렛의 한국 앰버서더와 같은 역할을 맡겨주었네요. 그 일환으로 시몽 브렛이 25년 발매를 계획하고 있는 한정판 시계 중 5개를 페니워치 이름으로 배정해 주었습니다. 시몽이 이야기하기를 ”페니워치에서 배정하는 5개의 크로노미터 아티장이 한국에서의 시몽 브렛의 이미지이자 얼굴이기에 신중하게 컬렉터들을 선정해 달라“고 하였습니다. 실제 페니워치 멤버들 중 신청자를 받아 그중 5명을 선정하였고 진행중입니다! 무엇보다 한국 컬렉터들을 위해 연결해 준 @doobooloo 님께 다시 한번 감사드립니다! 우연찮게 ChatGPT에 두 가지 질문을 던져보니 재밌는 답변이 있네요. 아시다시피 챗GPT 자체가 온라인의 정보를 요약정리해 주는 것이지만 너무도 정확히 페니워치의 활동과 방향성에 대해서 이야기해 주고 있었습니다. 그동안 제가 생각하는 좋은 시계를 보고 즐기는 방법, 그리고 시계 문화가 넓고 깊어지기 위한 여러 고민을 했었는데 챗GPT가 다시 한번 정리를 해주어서 저도 마음을 다잡고 다시 한번 힘을 내게 되었습니다. 저는 스스로 제가 한국 최고 시계 컬렉터라고 생각하지는 않습니다. 하지만 이 답에 합당한 시계 컬렉터가 되기 위해 노력해야겠다는 생각을 하게 되네요. 스스로 시계를 더 잘 즐기고 싶기도 하지만 많은 컬렉터들에게 좋은 영감을 주고 싶기도 하거든요. 이제 6년을 넘어 7년 차를 맞이한 페니워치인데 서두에서 말한 것처럼 멤버들과 그 외 많은 분들의 큰 도움과 사랑이 있어 여기까지 온 것 같습니다. 앞으로도 많은 응원과 격려 부탁드립니다! 저도 여러분들의 시계 생활에 도움이 되기 위해 최선을 다하겠습니다 :) #pennywatch #페니워치 #langheyne #lanandheyne #Georgpennywatchedtion #simonbrette #chronometreartisans #랑앤하이네 #게오르그페니워치에디션 #시몽브렛 #크로노미터아티장

The mesmerizing H1 Tourbillon made by Beat Haldimann. I previously featured a rare black dial variant, but here you can get a better sense of the details on the light color dial. The huge 17mm central flying tourbillon still grabs most of your attention, looking delightfully oversized against this 39mm platinum case. The silver dial is more legible and glows under the sunlight in a way that the sleeker black dial does not. The caseback has the same frosted bridges and snailing atop the triple barrels. Isn’t this tourbillon incredibly mesmerizing to look at? The Beat Haldimann’s H1 tourbillon’s huge 17mm size is more appropriate for a pocket watch, and looks delightfully disproportionate for this 39mm platinum case. All your attention is drawn to the tourbillon, as it’s centrally located, and is a flying tourbillon with no upper bridge to block its view. The back seems simple but has a nicely done frosted finish. I do wish we could see more of that infamous triple barrel construction: two barrels to power the tourbillon and one barrel to power the hands, with all three connected by a clutch. Keep in mind all of this is hand finished and Beat Haldimann prides itself on avoiding any work using CNC machines.
