***free to all youth*** Donations encouraged***

Our team is hosting our 4th annual March Madness Community Basketball Tournament next month on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at McClatchy High School. BOA is a Sacramento-based nonprofit focused on youth development, violence prevention, and mental health support through basketball and mentorship. Through programs that blend sports, education, and community care, we create safe, consistent spaces where youth and families can thrive.

Ball-Out Academy currently partners with 16 schools across Sacramento including SCUSD, Natomas Unified, and SCOE working primarily with at-promise youth, many of whom are youth of color from elementary through high school. This is a free, all-day basketball and wellness event offered for 150–175 youth and families from under-resourced neighborhoods across Sacramento in a safe, positive, and competitive environment.
The corporate and community sponsorships we’re seeking directly cover costs like gym space, uniforms, hot meals, staffing, and equipment.

Sunday was amazing! 🙌 BOA had the opportunity to table at the Kings 👑 vs. Rockets 🚀 game, where we connected with hundreds of fans who were excited to learn about our program and the work we do.

We shared how we are a mentoring agency that uses sports especially basketball to reach youth and families, provide access to resources, and support overall growth. We’re much more than a basketball program we’re a bridge to health, wellness, and opportunity.

More people know about Ball Out today than they did yesterday, and that’s the goal! 💪
Huge thank you to the @sacramentokings and @kingscommunity for hosting us and providing this dope opportunity. We’re looking forward to doing it again next season!
