//I realised, hurt always doesn't come in tears and heartbreaks, sometimes it's acute pain in my chest for keeping the words to myself when they questioned my virtue, other times, the apology I didn't make to my old friend. On summer nights, the longing for the friend next continent I didn't talk enough to during school years. It's also been the silent thought that floats in my mind when I let down my parents, my absence on my best friend's birthday nights. Other times, the secrets of someone I spilled thoughtlessly or realisation that came post the moment I made a snarky sarcastic remark, winning the word play, losing the comfort of other. If hurt was a person, then it comes to me on dark ghastly nights, unable to see it's face, but well knowing it's there, slips in my bed, pricks me often, and I can figure out till now, it's been here for quite a time. The only way, to unpack it, to unburden the self, is to be a little kinder today, nicer to more people, caring to my family and on the days I don't see the sunshine, still care to ask my friend, "How's it going? Are you healing?". Unpacking is to check for toxicity on rough days and most of it to check it with myself.//
