I discovered @jrdynamite at Woodford Folk Festival getting everyone going late one night at the Pineapple Lounge and was immediately grabbed by it! Such a tasteful array of mixes full of life, energy and groove! The dancefloor was humming, the limbo stick was out, and everyone had a smile on their face.

Can't wait to experience @jamandsconesband live!
From what I've heard and been told, this band is exactly what I look for in a night out. Check them out!
Each of us performing on different Woodford Folk Festival stages at NYE meant I missed their set! 😕

High energy instrumental dance music from Aotearoa, New Zealand.

@yurtparty opened 2026 with mainstage sets at Woodford Folk Festival, where they were tagged one of the festival’s surprise favourites. They’ve since won Best Band with a Fiddler at the Golden Fiddle Awards, Tamworth Country Music Festival.

They’re back in Australia this October for four shows, and releasing new singles from their upcoming new album.

Festival and dance party favourites, Yurt Party’s mission is shared joy and connection on the dance floor, leaving you with a smile on your face and sore legs in the morning. Writing original music inspired by the Balkans, Latin and Dub, the band sells out tours all across their homeland and are now coming to spread the love in Australia too.

Join the party!

🗓️ Thursday, 22 October, 2026 // Revolver Upstairs, Melbourne
🗓️ Friday, 23 October 2026 // Black Bear Lodge, Brisbane
🎟️ Tickets available from the venue’s website
