Good day of testing at Summit Motorsports Park for the 2nd Annual Ken Ganley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram World of Mopar Presented by Edelbrock. It’s been a really long time since I ran a sportsman tree and the .391 RT on the first pass definitely showed. 🤣. Doubling up this weekend with Cope Racing Transmission Pro and Timeless Timbers Gen3 so we’ll see how it goes. Qualifiers and No Box Gamblers race tomorrow then two separate days of eliminations.

What an amazing race weekend to kick off the 2024 MSHS season. Got to leave the cold weather up “north” and head south for some fun in the sun for the race season kickoff with the Legmaker Intakes Modern Street HEMI Shootout at Orlando Speed World Dragway.
…
For the HEMItuner Performance by Revolution Paradox 12.50 Index Class I qualified second with a 12.525. The lucky events ended up being a competition bye for rounds 1 AND 2 and ended up facing Craig Peterson in the semis who got me on the tree by 0.075 and it was game over at that point but I racked racked up a 3rd place finish for points for the season.
…
For the East Coast MoParts Bracket Class, I kept a 12.50 dial-in for the entire day and ended up running close to the number on most of the passes. I lucked out with a couple red lights and break outs to get the event win!
…
On to Cometic Gasket King of the Hill where chip draw had me lined back with Craig Peterson in round 1 and he red lit at the tree to help me move onto round 2 where i faced the same guy who I lined up in semis of Bracket where he red lit again putting me into the finals continuing my lucky streak of round wins. Of note, every person I faced that was in the right lane red lit on the tree and I ended up in the right line for the finals and red lit bad (0.148) to fall just short of the King of the Hill win.
…
Reuniting with the Houma Hitman and Maker’s Mark seemed to be the secret ingredient for my luck this past weekend, so NO MORE Fireball finally and of course little Pikachu coming along for the ride.

#TeamPikachu has some unfinished business heading into the 2024 MSHS season. Three years finishing in second for the season and just now figured out the issue, needed that Pikachu co-pilot. Thanks @797redeye_cle for the Pikachu co-pilot and treats the animals.

What a crazy way to wrap up the Modern Street HEMI Shootout season at the eastcoatsmoparts.com Mayryland MSHS race in the points chase for the Cometic 12.50 Index this past weekend at Maryland International Raceway. Came into the final points race 7 points behind Al Scanlan. Working the math on the points, a few things had to go my way and what I needed to do to secure the season title was I to win the class. If I lost in the finals, it would be a tie for the season in points where the edge would go to Al based on the tiebreaker criteria. I fell just short in the finals in a great race against John Govenettio where I broke out by .03. Thanks for dinner before eliminations Jess Richards, but I thinks one more piece of steak was needed to slow me down enough. 🤣Third year in a row finishing second in the 12.50 Index class but it couldn’t get any closer in the season chase with Al. Can’t wait to see what happens in the 2024 season.
…
Right before the final qualifying, somehow my driver side front tire valve stem came loose so I had to rush to swap tires and find a tool to fix it. Special thanks to Pete Sequin, John Govenettio, Stell Saverino, Matt Broyles, John Hall, and Jon Rahmani who helped out with the rush to figure out the source of the leak while I was trying to get different tires on. It was the same tire/wheel that I had issues with at the Milan race in August. 🤦‍♂️

Posted @withrepost • @taetae_mopargrl Approaching the 1 year since the passing of our friend @phasthemi I wanted to share with you a memorial tribute video I had done for our brother in the drag racing community.

I realize this video is quite long but Simon is worth every minute of it. It was difficult to leave out anything. I am hoping it doesn’t affect the quality once uploaded. Depending on the type of media file I received they vary in size throughout the video.

I wanted to have a particular song for this tribute but due to copyright laws uploading this to any social media platform would have caused it to be deleted. I had to choose a royalty free audio.

This isn’t professionally done by any means but it’s a good testament for our friend and brother who was all heart in this sport.

I wanted to thank all the people who sent me media to help create this and sorry it’s taken so long to complete.

I also wanted to thank @797redeye_cle for being a sounding board from time to time during this process.

Due to the size of the clip I have a smaller file version that may or may not email if anyone wants a copy. If the file is too big I can add to a Google drive for people to access it. You can also screen record on your phone from Facebook or Instagram.

From the drag racing family our thoughts and prayers continue with Simon’s wife Tory and their children.

Simon, you are truly missed and forever in our hearts brother ❤️ #dragracer #dragracing #memorial

Mom took me and the boys to see Santa yesterday! I heard he's the one who brings all the new toys and treats when it gets cold out 👀
