The still life, photographed by Tim El Kaïm, goes close up on the Le Fond de Teint bottle and its accompanying tools. Cuts across the images echo the graphic lines of the glass bottle design. The vertical reading direction of the booklet is enhancing the elongated ratio of the publication. Related to the ratio of the bottle, of course. The foundation and primer come in frosted glass bottles, with a black-and-white lacquered metal cap topped with the iconic ex-libris in gold. The beveled shape of Le Perfecteur brush was inspired by a horse’s hoof. The brushed metal palette is stamped with the Hermès ex-libris and comes with a lacquered applicator. Created by Gregoris Pyrpylis, and designed by Pierre Hardy, these tools establish the gestures of beauty.
