the in between.

I keep finding myself having (and overhearing) the same conversation with women: We’re either in sweatpants or we’re dressed up….there’s no in between.

That middle ground “the in between” seems to be the missing piece in so many wardrobes.

Maybe it started during Covid. Maybe life is simply moving faster than ever, and somewhere along the way, getting dressed for ourselves became less of a priority.

But I think learning how to dress for the in between matters.
Because sometimes, putting on an outfit you feel good in is enough to change your entire day. It can be the little push you need to get through the week. And it doesn’t have to happen every day, maybe it starts as just one day a week.

So, I’m going to start sharing outfits for the in between. Looks that feel effortless, intentional, and actually wearable in real life. Start with what you already have. Use my looks as inspiration, recreate them with pieces in your own closet, and take note of the pieces you’d love to add to your wardrobe.

And if you start bringing a little more in between into your week, tag me. I want to see it. ☺️✨

Our collaboration with @jruby.designs is in stock and ready to ship! The East Coast Summer Shortie Slipcover featuring Jessica’s coastal critter designs is reversible: lobsters on the front and back and an irresistibly-fun seagull pattern when you turn it inside out. Two bags in one!

Think clam bakes, vats of melted butter, salty sea air, sand in your feet… and, yes, those pesky seagulls trying to steal your fries!
🏖️🦞🍟

This coastal charmer is printed on a durable cotton canvas and designed for use with any of our handbag handles and the Shortie Liner. (Handle and liner sold separately.)

Red, white, and blue. This is my kind of Fourth of July moodboard, stripes on stripes, a little gingham, and of course some whimsy!

I’m a sucker for a good stripe and who can say no to a classic Van checkered slip on, this time of year.

I love finding pieces that make everyday summer feel a little more styled. Hope your weekend is full of sunshine, good food, friends and maybe a sparkler or two.

Happy Independence Day!

Here are some local favorites!

1. Purse and Resin Strap, Clare V, Los Angeles
2. Flags, Slightly Choppy, Newport Beach
3. Boyfriend Striped Shirt, JRuby Designs, Laguna Beach
4. Red Checkered sneakers, Vans, Costa Mesa
