POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Heigh Ho it’s off to listen while I work I go.

Over the past year I’ve paired hand making my products with being a life long learner. Consuming as much as I can and building something incredible.

They say disappear for a year and invest in yourself. Each day I’m closer to sharing what I’ve been up to for the last year. ☀️💜

In the meantime, I’m Santa’s helper in the JRW workshop, trying to share a little bit of magic with the world through my art.

Do you have anything you’re working on that keeps you excited? What are they?

I spent a lot of my life learning how to look composed.

How to read the room.
How to say the right thing.
How to look like I had it all together.

Apparently none of that training applies when there’s a giant chipmunk in the room. 😂

When was the last time you were so genuinely excited about something that you forgot to care how you looked?

Where can you give yourself a moment like that? 💜

36. ☀️🎂

Soaking in all the magic I can, with as many birthday selfies as I can. 😂

Today I wore the outfit I didn’t feel confident in. Took the selfies without caring who was watching. Let myself take up space and enjoy being here.

Would I love having people here to share today with? Of course. But I’m not waiting for company or perfect circumstances to enjoy & remember my own life.

Take the selfie. Ask for the group photo. Make sure you’re in the memories you’re making.

P.S. If you’re the grump who makes people feel weird for taking photos, just don’t. 😂

36 looks pretty damn good from here. ☀️🦁💜

The more I train myself to notice joy, the more I feel it. ✨

A moment like this with Sorcerer Mickey could have been just another photo.

Instead, it became one of those moments that fills your whole heart. 💙

When you build joy like a muscle, you don’t just notice the good things more often. You experience them more deeply.

On the nights that don’t feel beautiful, have a plan.

Joy is a skill. It’s something we practice returning to, especially when we feel eclipsed or blocked from ourselves.

That’s why I created a micro joy list:

Coffee at my favorite shop.
Hand painting.
Designing new signs.
A walk through my favorite park.
Tiny things that help me reconnect to myself.

Because sometimes a little Bella Notte is all you need. ✨

What would be at the top of your micro joy list?

One year ago today, my mama went to heaven.
I want to write a separate post about her more, but wanted to share this reel I made of Neverland decor in her honor… it was one of her last wishes that we’d go out and have more adventures …the last year of her life, we stuck pretty close to her … this last week we went on our first trip visiting dear friends in Palm Springs ( mom adored Deb, both artists, so I think she approved ) All I am as a creative I owe to my mom. She taught me how magical it is to be artistic… what it brings … what it celebrates …how it heals… how it’s a refuge in life’s greatest challenges and losses… she modeled that all her life…and one of her art pieces ( bless this house ) lives proudly in our RV.
I miss her everyday and am still trying to wrap my brain around that she is not here on this earth anymore …I like to think of her in the beautiful Neverland where we never grow old, or have pain, or cry, where lost boys like her grandson and our son live … adventuring, loving, worshipping Jesus … it’s my happy thought today … I want to live each day all out … enjoy the journey … tell people and show people I love them every chance I can … do what matters first … laugh, play, be present … we have just this one precious life… live it all out, friends.

Excited to share our Rv, Neverland’s decor ( play on words intended with its name ) at last … hope to do another reel soon where I show more larger views … I just adore how it came out …what do you think of all these magical Peter Pan pieces?
The photo is of my Uncle Chuck and Aunt Donna by their RV ..I grew up going on adventures with them in their rig called, “ Queenie”…. We would go to the beach, the fair, tailgate at Charger games ( back when they were still in San Diego)… I did a little nod to them and those times with the macrame wall plant… my aunt was an avid macramer and their son had a plant shop up in Mammath…they’d take up loads of plants to him with her macrame creations!
I also shared a little glimpse of our first little appetizer party we had in Neverland with friends…. I loved putting little themed picks in the food ( watch for the little hook in one dip) and creating the ambience!

Today, is the one year anniversary of my mom’s passing. I spent her last years caring for her and walking her home to heaven… one of her last wishes was we would go out in our RV and have some adventures … we went on our first trip back, this last week in her honor.

Good morning, bee 🐝 friends. I’m thinking a very happy thought as February tiptoes closer with pockets full of hearts and kindness. It feels like just the sort of month made for sharing something sweet, preferably on paper, delivered by a friendly mail carrier, and not a bill. I was wondering, in a gentle sort of way, if anyone would like to exchange Valentines this year, much like we did with the Christmas cards. There is something rather splendid about opening the mailbox and finding a bit of cheer instead of reminders and receipts. If you’d enjoy receiving a Valentine from me, please send a little DM my way. Sharing mail, after all, is almost as nice as sharing honey, and lasts quite a bit longer. Sign made by @jrwd.co
