My client Ryan is currently training to become Spider-Man at Disneys California Adventure. He's always been enamored with stunts so this year he took a leap of faith and went all in with both acrobatic and strength training.

Here are a few clips of what I have him do in the weight room along with what his acrobatics coach has him do as well.

Super proud of Ryan for pushing himself to reach his goal.

They trained like The Shape.
They became relentless. 🔪

No gimmicks. No shortcuts.
Just heavy training, discipline, and results that speak for themselves.

The Shape Program is 6 weeks of upper/lower strength, inspired by the Boogeyman himself.

Summer of ’07. I was the new guy on a construction site, sweeping tiny rocks off the pavement. I wasn’t into it and it showed.

The project manager pulled me aside and said: "No matter what job you’re doing, give it your best. More importantly overdeliver. That’s what will take you far in life."

That moment stuck with me. Since then, I’ve carried that mindset into every client I train, every workout I hit, and every challenge I face.

Big job or small your effort defines you.

FAVORITE MEMORY AT PEPPERDINE: Going to Scotland with the Theatre Department and performing my first play, Americana: A Murder Ballad, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!

ADVICE FOR INCOMING STUDENTS: Don’t be discouraged if you don’t know where to belong with major when you get here. As long as you stay true to yourself, the right major and community will find you, just like theatre found me.
