summer so far 💓 i reached the beginning of a new decade, reflecting on why we (people, humans) are so compelled to create. we make things to beautify our spaces. we make meaning and relieve ourselves of pain. we make to remember, to fill our days, to mark the passing of time, to fill the void. we make to entertain ourselves, to impress others or defy them, to play pretend. we make our friendships, our careers, our connections, our own unique journey. we make our lives up as we go. it’s in our nature. Life is an art project and I’m so in love with mine.

🥳 30, flirty, dirty, and thriving, baby!!!

the roots that raised me are not just redwood trees… they are rain trees, too 💫🤲🏼🌺 this trip felt life-affirming and humbling. moving as slow as the rhythm of nature means i can feel the wisdom coming to whisper in my ears… heavy rain falling in the garden. louvres wide open, no screens to keep the outside world from coming in. presence that lifts your heart right out of the ribcage in your chest. i am being now… i close my eyes and touch the sky within me. i stand still, listen intently, fill a notebook with words. grateful once again to call Fiji a home. such a tremendously special place to be, all water and earth… sunshine and thunder 💛

Can’t be mad about a great start to a New England winter, but I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye for now to bike season. Here are a few of my favorite memories and favorite people. See you next year, xoxo.
