Building a Movie Cabin From Scratch

Production Designer Richard Davenport and Director John Schimke take you behind the scenes of Where the Wind Blows to show how this cabin went from an empty location to a fully realized movie set.
It’s one thing to see the finished film—it’s another to witness the creativity, craftsmanship, and collaboration that make movie magic possible.
Every beam, every wall, and every detail was carefully designed to serve the story.
🎬 Where the Wind Blows is now available on Apple TV, Amazon, and other digital platforms.
What behind-the-scenes moments would you like us to share next?

DON’T TELL LARRY turns 1 today. 🎂

One year ago, our weird little office comedy escaped into the world. Since then, Larry has made it to theaters, streaming, airplanes, the Amazon homepage, and somehow a Yahoo headline calling us “2025’s most perfect comedy.”

Thank you to everyone who watched, shared, reviewed, posted, or said they did even if they didn’t.

Happy birthday, Larry! Please don’t make it too weird.

Still processing the fact that our little film-that-could somehow heard its name called for Best Indie Drama… and then we were suddenly on stage like, “Wait… really?! Okay wow!!” 😄🏆🙌🏼

What an unbelievably special moment. None of us expected that kind of recognition, and that’s exactly what made it hit so deep. This award feels like the biggest hug of validation for a story we poured our hearts into, hoping—just hoping—it might find its people. If this moment helps more folks see the film and feel its message, that’s the real win. ❤️🎬

So much of this is because of the love and belief that Brandon Smith, Eden Matson, and Joe Borden put into this project. They didn’t just help make a movie — they gave it wings. Because of them, the actors had the space to stretch, risk, and tell a story that actually means something. That kind of support is rare, and we felt it every single day on set. 🎭💞

Thank you to @thatchrisgore , @filmthreatalan & the entire @filmthreat team at @awardthis for seeing @somewhereinmontana as a film with an impactful message worth celebrating. 🥰🎥🙌🏼🎊

Grateful. Humbled. But not surprised, in a good way. Very, very full heart. 💗✨
