Things may seem unreachable and unattainable but what if we hold faith.

What if we keep moving forward.

What if each day we believe and invest in ourselves.

Maybe that’s a small step some days and maybe that is a big step other days.

What if we did something daily to focus on ourselves and our mental and physical self whatever that may be for you.

These actions can make a difference in us.

If anyone asked me before if I am a runner I would said no and that I sign up for races with friends to do an activity with them and it gets me out of the house for me time.

What I am saying going forward is I am a runner.

I am running with a purpose for myself.

For mental and physical health.

For time for me.

To accomplish goals for me.

As I accomplish a goal it is allowing me to believe that anything is possible.

I once thought I would never run 5K let alone 10K and I am doing it.

Now I surround myself with inspiring runners, a coach @bronteharbourrunners and a community that has allowed me to believe, to accomplish goals and to see that anything can be possible.

What do you do for yourself which allows you to believe that anything is possible?

I am so grateful for the friends that believed in me before I believed in myself and the community running group who are so supportive of me to push past what I believed was possible for myself.

Grateful for my husband’s support so I can do this for me.

I am a wife, a mom, a friend, a colleague, a daughter, a sister etc but most importantly I am Kerri.

This past weekend I participated in MUDGIRL a 5km course with obstacles and mud. The race supports foundations fighting against breast cancer.

This course was more than obstacles and mud it was about empowerment for me. I did the course with both friends and women that I just met. What was amazing to see is women supporting women and it didn’t matter if we just met.

We helped each other climb up mud, get down the mud and make our way through the obstacles.

We were there supporting each other, and cheering each other on. There is something incredible about having a hand reached out to you to pull you up or have someone give you a boost when you need it.

We did the course and obstacles together. We ran with each other. We laughed with each other. We finished together.

Women can do amazing things when we support each other and work together. We can thrive, we can succeed, we can accomplish so much.

The course reminded me that I am strong, and it was so empowering to have completed the course and the obstacles.

The women on my team inspired me and I am so thankful I said yes to this experience.

The support that I saw and experienced on the course made me think about how women supporting women on their journey in infertility, pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood can have such a huge positive impact on others lives.

Lifting each other up, compassion for each others journeys and more kindness can have us all feeling more support and thriving.

Women helping other women with their obstacles of life can make obstacles more like little bumps in the journey.

A special shout out for one of the great ones! Jasmine, the badass baker behind @oakandbrant 🥰 This mama of 2 is such a beautiful, genuine soul who is always so supportive and has a lot of love to give. If you’re lucky to have her as a friend, you’ll know that she’s one of your biggest cheerleaders in whatever/wherever your life takes you. I’m so thankful and blessed to have her in my life.

Find friends who drink (eat) milkshakes.

When you find a friend who likes to be sprayed in the face as much as you like spraying them, you keep that friend for life. 💦
