Today’s Burien Collaborative Mental Health Affinity Group gathering was powerful and deeply needed. As therapists and mental health workers, we talked about the weight of capitalism, imposter syndrome, generational healing, oppressive systems, and what it means to care for ourselves while caring for others.

We are growing. We are healing. We are coming together in community!

I’m so honored to lead this group, and this space wouldn’t be what it is without each and every person who shows up with honesty, care, and vulnerability.

If you’re a therapist or mental health provider in the Burien or surrounding areas looking for connection and collective care, we’d love to have you.

Third session recording Home Away From Home at @homespunaudio. My girl Jana @jsongbird came through to help me find harmonies and some ad-libs. She has such a good ear for these things!! I’m so pleased with how it’s coming along :). #femalesinger #megankrantzproject #femalevocalist #homespunaudio #seattleartist

birthday reflections pt. 2 💝

I talked to a friend yesterday about what sharing pictures of significance publicly feels like for yourself vs other spectators. And we both agreed that pictures with great significance for you don’t necessarily translate as “likeable” on social media. Often people get more socially rewarded for superficial or aesthetically pleasing content even if the truth behind the camera tells a very different story.

And I don’t want to promote that kind of disconnected presentation of my life so while these memories are so sweet, what you don’t see in this trail of memories is the most challenging season of life I have yet to experience… but I didn’t pick up my phone and document it because I didn’t want to remember at the time.

Now I look back on those pictures and wish I did so I don’t forget any of it. All of it was important and gave me the clarity and support I needed to get here, moving into my thirties with joy, drive, and purpose.

I realized that remembering the grief and pain elevates the sweet memories too. So I hope I don’t forget what wasn’t documented but am committed to starting now.

With every kind word and truth spoken, you are making history.

With every action that ushers in goodness and restoration, you are making history.

With every mouth fed and child cared for, you are making history.

With every prayer and plea to God for His Kingdom come, you are making history.

With every moment taken back from those who harmed you, you are making history.

With every ounce of sweat poured for your labor and passions, you are making history.

With every door you’ve opened for another woman, you are making history.

With every compassionate act and courageous choice, you are making history.

With your commitment to spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental health, you are making history.

With your very good existence, as an act of resistance, you are making history.

It's somehow already been 2 weeks since we sent these resilient leaders into the next chapter of their service to Gof and neighbor. They still feel so close, as we learn our new relationship with each other as alumni and a different way of co-learning. Such beautiful faces and souls here, each doing such strong work on behalf of their communities and with Spirit. #resilientleadersproject #resilientleaders #certificateinresilientservice @theseattleschool

Nothing quite like an almost-spring day out and about with my girl. Laughter, coffee, non-stop talking, Chick-Fil-A, a little shopping, and a lot more laughter. Love you so much, @jsongbird! #timewithmygirl #doesamommasheartgood
