SOLD. 🌵by @texan. Lake Palestine Ranch, 650 acres, acquired by Texas Parks and Wildlife for their newest East Texas State Park. It’s been a honor to represent the Pollard family & to have played a small part in making this happen. It’s a great deal for the State of Texas and Texans, with another piece of land preserved perpetually for future generations of Texans.

Comment below if you have questions about the property or what’s to come, I’d be glad to share what I know about it.

AUSTIN STAND UP - We rally on the 12th & I35 overpass every Sunday at 10AM. We have allies everywhere, and we can save Big Bend together. We’ve had 40+ people for this rally every week, and we can’t wait to keep this momentum with y’all while we go statewide.

While our friends in West Texas file lawsuits and work every angle, it’s more important than ever that we make our voices heard. This isn’t about left, right, or immigration - it’s about illegal border construction on our parks & land. We all know how important Big Bend is to Texans. Now we need everyone to know that this isn’t over.

So we are bringing Save Big Bend overpass rallies to every metro in Texas. The idea is that a few dozen people can reach tens of thousands of Texans in a couple of hours, every week. ✊ Post these dates on your story & tell everybody you know - We rally every Sunday through November 1.

Some rules - BRING WATER, sunscreen, and a sign! No large equipment, tables, weapons, drones, noise amplification, blocking sidewalks/crosswalks. Poke a hole through your sign and tie it to your hand with a string or make *sturdy* handles w duct tape so it doesn’t fly away in the wind. Flags are good too. Love y’all ❤️

HOUSTON STAND UP - We rally on the Montrose Blvd & Southwest Freeway overpass every Sunday at 10AM. We have allies everywhere, and we can save Big Bend together.

SAN ANTONIO STAND UP - Friday 8/28 @bigbendfarflung and @peopleoflajunta are seeking a restraining order against all border construction in Big Bend National Park, and you can help. We will have a peaceful demonstration on the sidewalk across from the courthouse hearing the case. There will also be a native prayer at 8AM beforehand.

- 9AM, Friday 8/28 - Casa Navarro Historic Site - 228 S Laredo St, San Antonio TX

A “pause” is not enough for our National Park. While these lawsuits progress, it’s more important than ever that we make our voices heard and continue supporting our neighbors standing up for the livelihood and heritage of Texans: today, this Friday, and every week up to the midterms.

Much love to the plaintiffs of this case, other cases like the @centerforbiodiv / @angellexpeditions / Presidio, nonprofits working behind the scenes (@keepbigbendwild_org @nobigbendwall), and everyone out there fighting for what’s right. We’ve got your back.

Viva el Rio ✊❤️

AUSTIN - 10 AM, EVERY SUNDAY- Big Bend protest at the overpass on 12th and I35. We will have a first banner drop w/ more dates incoming (EDIT - this was a huge success. We are doing this every Sunday.)

8,000 cars drive that underpass per hour and they need to see people are still protesting. Bring a sign! Post to your story pls

Your voice is still powerful - in April, DHS removed hundreds of miles of steel wall from their official plans because of y’all’s work. We have 3 months til the midterms to make a big impact again. We will be sharing more protest dates ASAP with more advance notice.

Note - SBB is a grassroots org, not a non profit. We are just normal Texans focused on peaceful protest and keeping public & media attention on the crisis in Big Bend. Thanks, love y’all ❤️
