Some seasons taught me how to stay past my welcome. This one is teaching me how to leave on time.

An exit can be the blessing. What stays after can be the gift pointing you towards home. Swipe to see a few people who always feel like “home”. Regardless.

Whether I’ve said it a little or a lot, thank you. Your presence meant more than I can ever say.

Last slide. 😆

Producer and artist Erotic D—aka The Ruthless King—has returned with a new single titled “Camaro,” a release that doubles as the title track for his forthcoming album. The record introduces a renewed creative push from one of the architects behind Ruthless Records’ and Death Row Records’ early sound, now pairing his legacy with a new generation he’s personally assembled.

“Camaro” features RQV2, a group Erotic D describes as handpicked to extend his reach into areas of the current music landscape he hadn’t previously tapped. The collaboration is not a one-off—RQV2 plays a central role across the upcoming Camaro album, highlighting a broader rollout strategy that blends veteran production with emerging voices.

Behind the scenes, the project has been built in parallel with RQV2’s own debut album, Murder For Hire, which Erotic D has overseen closely. According to those involved, both projects were developed simultaneously, with the intent of launching the group immediately after Camaro drops. Erotic D handled production and primary songwriting duties on both releases, with RQV2 contributing as co-writers, reinforcing the collaborative structure at the core of the campaign.

Erotic D’s name carries weight dating back to the late 1980s and early ’90s, when he contributed to the sonic foundation of Eazy-E’s solo work and helped shape the early identity of Ruthless Records during a pivotal era for West Coast hip-hop. That history gives added context to “Camaro,” which blends his established production sensibilities with updated themes and a new roster.

With Camaro positioned as both a solo statement and a launchpad, and Murder For Hire queued closely behind it, the rollout marks a coordinated effort to reassert Erotic D’s presence while introducing RQV2 as a force tied directly to his creative direction.

Dallas–Fort Worth hip-hop figure Don “DJ Snake” Brown, widely regarded as a foundational architect of the region’s rap scene, is facing a life-altering health crisis after being diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer on April 14, 2026.

According to family members, Brown underwent emergency surgery shortly after the diagnosis to have a colostomy bag inserted, a procedure doctors said was necessary to stabilize his condition. The cancer, however, could not be surgically removed. He is expected to begin chemotherapy in the coming weeks as he prepares for an aggressive treatment plan.

Brown’s influence in Southern hip-hop stretches back decades. Often described as one of the “fathers of Dallas hip-hop,” he co-founded Get Off Me Records in 1987 and helped launch the group Nemesis alongside MC Azim, Big Al, and Ron C. Nemesis carved out a distinctive sound by blending gangsta rap, Miami bass, and elements of metal—an approach that helped define a raw, regional identity at a time when Dallas artists were still fighting for national visibility.

Beyond his work with Nemesis, Brown built a reputation as a versatile producer, contributing to records tied to artists such as Lil Jon, Too Short, T.I., UGK, and MC Breed. His reach extended well beyond Texas, positioning him as a behind-the-scenes force during pivotal years in Southern rap’s expansion. In recent years, he continued working under the name “DJ Snake of Nemesis,” releasing tracks including “Get Cho Bread” in 2022 and developing a new project titled Midi Life Crisis.

Those close to Brown say he remains focused and determined, drawing strength from faith, family, and the community he helped build. As he prepares for chemotherapy, supporters across the region and beyond are rallying behind him—ensuring that one of Dallas hip-hop’s early architects does not face this fight alone.
