LA was showing off for us this morning, what a beautiful day out there for a beautiful but very very climbey #FRIDAYLLEZride !!! @kyleponce sent us up to put the weird in Hollyweird!!! Thanks for coming out everyone, hope the surprise Dual Slalom Course didn’t stress y’all out too much. Maybe today was Bertie’s Scorpion Pepper? 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of joining the @eaglerockrunclub for a special end-of-summer one-way run, starting at @sidepie_ in Altadena and finishing up at @theoinkster in Eagle Rock. I love these kinds of runs—just a small change in routine can really shake things up and bring back the fun.

If you ever find yourself getting bored with your usual running routes, try making an occasion out of it. Finish your run at a spot where you can reward yourself with a treat and relax, then get a ride back instead of doing the usual out-and-back or loop.

How do you keep things interesting on your long runs?

👋🏻 Hey y’all!!! This Friday is the 1 Year Anniversary of @goldensaddlecyclery closing. By no means is this a sad post, so don’t even think about feeling sorry for us, because there is a lot to celebrate. First up, @aaron_your__tires left GSC to start @labikeacademy “The Bike Shop” with Damon Turner their founder. This is a full service bike shop, with an educational aspect for the youth in the neighborhood, as well as the Race Team. They even have an earn a bike program. Go check them out off Jefferson near Crenshaw. Second up, I opened up a new bike shop in Highland Park called @allezlabikeshop with @shawn182 and @annamariastyles !!! The music is still as loud, but the party now ends at 6PM when we’re open, we have families to tend to. We don’t have as much time, so we’re even more focused on getting everyone on the right bike(s)! 🤣 N + 1? @100tacos is also here, serving tacos sometimes, but mostly being the greatest bike shop employee of all time!!! Third on the list is, @jtbadge went over to @aroundthecycle to help them become the go to for selling used gear and bikes. @aroundthecycle is such a great resource for anyone in LA looking to sell their used stuff. Hopefully one day giving Pros Closet a run for their money. Don’t forget to always think local first. Fourth @tandrewmoreno just signed a deal with @collagecoffee to bring his coffee skillz back home. So make sure and stop in and see @tandrewmoreno and the gang in Highland Park anytime y’all are around. And for the fifth and final thing to be celebrating!!! @hi.mito.rosas and @cachicken have opened a Bike Build Studio and Service Department in Boyle Heights called @fabrica.de.rosas !!! So if you wondered where most of the party went and @hi.mito.rosas ‘s dance skillz, hit them up!!! Hopefully y’all didn’t miss their Grand Opening the other weekend. Now for the only sad thing, @wulfgartheworldweary left LA, for the Ramblin’ Man lifestyle again. But realized all his favorite people are here, so expect to see him back here a lot!!! So let’s celebrate on Friday Dec 1st, maybe even go pay your respects. LA is now an even better place to ride bikes because of @goldensaddlecyclery closing.💚💛❤️
