It was a tremendous honour to join @shakira, @dhar.mann, @serenawilliams, @kaka, @alessandrodelpiero, @wyclefjean, and other global changemakers at the @fifa @glblctzn Education Summit to speak about the transformative power of education and why investing in it has never been more important.

Education changed the trajectory of my life. Having grown up through conflict and adversity, I know firsthand that access to education can unlock potential, create opportunity, and change the course of a child's life.

The FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund aims to raise USD $100 million to expand access to quality education and football for children around the world. As a proud Canadian, I was especially encouraged to see Canada step forward with a $5 million commitment, announced by @surreysarai, in support of this important global effort.

I am joining the growing global call on France (@emmanuelmacron and @eleonore_caroit), Spain (@sanchezcastejon and @jmalbares), Germany (@bundeskanzler and @reem.alabaliradovan), the Netherlands (@jettenrob and @minpres), and Australia (@albomp, @senatorpennywong, and @anne.aly), along with other world leaders, to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and help make make quality education a reality for every child.

As the world comes together for the FIFA World Cup Final this weekend, let's ensure the tournament's greatest legacy isn't only what happens on the pitch, but the opportunities we create for the next generation.

Investing in education is investing in our collective future #NoChildOnTheSidelines💜

My heart is truly full🫶🏾

Two days ago, I celebrated my birthday with our incredible @communitiescare team, partners, and community members at Moss Park. Together, we distributed more than 211 Kindness Kits filled with hygiene items, basic necessities, food, drinks, snacks, and kindness notes to our friends in need.

There is no greater gift than giving, and I am so thankful for such a beautiful day. Being surrounded by love, laughter, and purpose made this moment unforgettable. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who came out and helped make it special. I love you all and look forward to continuing this journey together.

Year 3 capturing @shootforpeace_ Media Day.

This year, @heltinoo and I wanted to do something different. We built a box lol. The box represented a space for our students to express who they are.

We asked them to bring something personal, items that told stories, pieces of their world we don’t always get to see.

Watching them step into that space so different, yet all connected through this new shared interest photography and cinematography.

Selfishly, I wanted to do this to get to know them better. Not just as students in my class, but as full people, through what they love.

This project gave me that.

Today I’m taking a moment to reflect with gratitude on the incredible people I’ve been fortunate and blessed to have in my life: my family, my friends, my community, and this beautiful country we call home.

Each of you has shaped my journey in ways both big and small, and for that, I am truly thankful.

NBA Finals 2025 🏆🏀

Both of my favorite teams got knocked out of the finals so it has been bittersweet and maybe a little less stressful to follow the finals just as a pure fan of the game haha. It was inspiring to see Canada’s very own Shai win the MVP🇨🇦. Thank you to NBA Courtside Restaurant for the amazing hospitality and the space to spend quality time with the community.

Now who do you all have — the Pacers or OKC? 🤔

Last month, I had the honour of representing @communitiescare at the birthday celebration of the incredible mother of my dear friends and sisters, Fitsum and Liyu.

Earlier this year, I spent my 20th birthday in Moss Park, sharing kindness kits and birthday cake with our vulnerable friends who are too often overlooked. It was a beautiful celebration of giving instead of the usual birthday routine of receiving.

At this recent gathering, the spirit of that day lived on. People brought donations instead of presents. Together, we packed more than 100 kindness kits. Each one was filled with care, love, and hope. Seeing everyone come together and show up for one another with such genuine kindness filled my heart. That is the power of community. I am deeply grateful to this amazing family for choosing to celebrate in such a meaningful way🤗

We are always #StrongerTogether🤗💜

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the ABEEL Annual Awards and Celebration Ceremony in Etobicoke. The Alliance of Black Employee Experience and Leadership (ABEEL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and advancing education to help eliminate systemic racism in workplaces and communities alike. It was truly inspiring to witness so many young leaders being recognized for their powerful and meaningful contributions to building a more just and inclusive society.

I had the honour of participating in a meaningful and impactful conversation alongside my brother Joel and sister Dibora.

We talked about what it means to lead with heart, to live with purpose, and to rise to the challenge of becoming the change we wish to see in the world. It was an intimate and thoughtful conversation where we shared stories, offered advice, and spoke with one goal in mind. We hope those who listen will feel empowered to take the next step and become the change their communities need.

Let’s keep building. Let’s keep believing. And above all, let’s keep leading with love🤗
