Celebrating Excellence and Friendship at the 2025 Football Black List Awards!

What a privilege it was to attend the 2025 Football Blacklist Awards last night and celebrate a dear friend Zeycan, who received the Commercial Award for her incredible work on The Purple Jersey campaign to ‘End Violence Against Women’ translated in 15 different languages on the Purple Jersey.

Meeting Zeycan in person for the first time felt like a dream come true. I first discovered her inspiring Purple Jersey Campaign on LinkedIn and immediately knew I had to feature her on The Sports Career Podcast back in 2022.

Her dedication and passion have since formed a wonderful friendship and a lifelong admiration for the campaign’s mission too.

Also special appreciation to Julie Gülsev Kassap, Çiğdem Türkan, Mert Ahmet, Jasper Yildirim, and so many others who have supported this vital initiative around the world.

Congratulations, Zeycan! Your leadership and impactful actions continue to inspire countless individuals. Keep shining and making a meaningful, positive impact in the Football World.

Happy International Women’s Day To the Women Who Inspire Me 🥰🫶🏾

Last summer, I had the privilege of private yachting through the Italian coast with nine extraordinary women—entrepreneurs, executives, PhDs, educators, marketing powerhouses, philanthropists, and trailblazers in sports, tech, and media. From Monte Carlo to the Amalfi Coast, through Porto Cervo, Naples, Capri, and Positano, we didn’t just explore the most breathtaking places in the world, we carried each other, inspired each other, and poured into one another in ways that left me forever changed.

Their intelligence, ambition, kindness, and generosity radiated beyond our group, touching everyone we encountered. There was something magical about the way we moved together… graceful, powerful, unstoppable. It was more than a trip; it was a reflection of what happens when brilliant, driven, and compassionate women come together to uplift, support, and celebrate each other.

I have been living in the aura of that inspiration ever since. This International Women’s Day, I honor them and every woman who dares to live boldly, dream fearlessly, & create space for others to shine!

We are the waves, the wind, and the force behind the most beautiful journeys. 💫

And on the last day of the year, it felt like my last chance to post a Christmas tree 🎄 too ❤️

I’m grateful for the cute holiday fun, the aesthetics of the season, and the joy created in turning ordinary moments into extraordinary ones.

The day was simply perfect.
I’m grateful for everybody who rocked with me in one of my most transitory seasons.

As the New Year comes, I look forward to spending my first week reflecting & sharing past moments.

Everyone knows that time between Christmas and New Year is meant for sleeping & eating only 😅✨

More posts coming soon.

With Love,

Zey.

Today I had a great day and great panel alongside this football legends at @csglobalksa. I want to thank @sigalliance for invitation to be here in Riyadh to talk about the importance of integrity in football.

There was also an opportunity to talk about @strivermadeforfans, the safe space for football fans engaging, having fun and thoughtful conversations, and being closer to their idols.

Thanks to SIGA CEO Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros and the team, also the legends for sharing their knowledge at the backstage.

🇺🇸 I’m very proud of how Samsunspor played today. To go against the leaders of Turkish football in their home stadium and play a great game, is really inspiring to see.

We are the underdogs of the league, we have a travel ban, we have a smaller budget, but none of these are excuses.
We are playing with heart & skill and this is what matters.

Congratulations to our team for a game well played… our future is bright ✨⭐️
