#tbt to March 2017 when @jtrueslc, @seldom_seen_smith, @mcchasem, and I did the first ski descent of this line on the west face of Cascade. I can confidently call it a first descent because the line requires over 400 ft of rappelling and there was no sign of anchors set by anyone else. We call it “Iron Lion” because of the many anchors it now has 😆

#tbt to the spring of 2016 when finished my 2 year project to climb and ski off all 29 county highpoints in Utah. Lots of great memories with friends and I gained a much deeper appreciation for the diverse beauty of Utah’s landscape. No snowmobiles were used. The biggest effort was skiing Eccentric Peak in the eastern Uintas which was about 35 miles round trip. The only other state in the nation that offers reasonably good downhill skiing from all of its county highpoints is Nevada so I guess I better get to those next.
