Thank you @seclusionunited for a powerful first interview and to @_cruciflix for lending your beautiful photography skills. Find a seclusion set live to pick up a free copy of the gatekeeper print zine for much more in depth content from the interview.

Back from tour, thanks to everyone who booked us. Riding in vans with boys, running alongside train tracks in other states…what a dream….left my pedals in another country but managed to not loose anything else, so pretty good. We are down to like 23 copies of the lp, so still enough to wholesale to a few other places if you would like.. repress in the fall hopefully. Back in DC where the national guard are set to be marching around here a few more years, feels demoralizing and apocalyptic but we persevere. Fuck ICE, Free Palestine, as always I still believe a better world is possible…

Second is the master of his craft @jim_shomo , catch DARK THOUGHTS (@darkthoughtsusapunkofficial ) on tour on the west coast, Japan wherever they rock

A very funny photo they took of me at the Women’s Hold ‘em Tournament, didn’t get as far as I wanted but still beat out 85% of the field. I’ll be at the Potomac Open in August trying to rock it again.

Last photo is some questionable Ramones karaoke

AY YO LETS GOOOOOO

Did the lettering and design for these limited covers for the record release Saturday. Printed by our talented friend @vinumsabbati . Making this record with people I’ve known for years, some of them since I was a kid, some of the I’ve lived with, some of them I’ve worked with, with a cover inspired by the park I run and bike through nearly everyday, having the release show at a place that holds an important place in my heart, employed me for years, with people that are my colleagues and friends running door and sound, alongside some good dc friends means the world to me. The record comes out tomorrow, release show Saturday @ Comet. Ticket link in bio… if you’re worried about affording a ticket to get in just shoot me a message I’ll figure it out.

If you can’t read the back…

We told you about our favorite records of 2025, but can we tell you about one we are excited to get our hands on in 2026. The @seclusionunited album is now available for pre-order with a release date of 3/6/26. This band is awesome, and we don’t just say that because we’ve been friends with @paidtheprice for decades, or played in a band with @jtvse , think @s__l__u__g__ books amazing shows, are jealous of @shawnpunxxx ‘s hair, or have known @mough3xlp since he was a teen and know he’s a badass and a sweetheart. Seclusion simply fucking rips. And I’m upset my 48 year old recovering from jet lag punk ass fell asleep on the couch after my first full day back at work on Monday night instead of seeing them play at the @pieshopdc Thankfully they play again soon, and you can get tickets for their record release show with Montreal’s @betonarme_514 on March 7th @cometplngpong

New SECLUSION song off our upcoming record on A LA CARTE records up on bandcamp now. Link in bio if you want to check it out. Pictures 1-2 taken by Yonas at the structure, picture 3 by my bandmates, picture 4 taken by Pat of Mo and I hanging out at the structure on a bike ride spring 2024 before I even joined the band. The Northwest Branch Trail is really beautiful and I highly recommend riding bikes with your friends as it can lead to cool things.

FLYER BY @devilgirl_1997

Last time CHAIN CULT rolled through they killed it at Haydee’s. I think these are two of the best contemporary post punk etc bands out there right now.

Presented along side other SECLUSION shows happening this month.

Oct 3-5 is Punks for Palestine benefit, all proceeds will be donated to Gaza Soup Kitchen and HEAL Palestine. We’re playing Sunday with SAETIA and a bunch of other sick bands. Glad to be a part of this event, hope to see lots of friends there.

The week after that Oct 11th we’re playing in New Jersey at Cinco de Mayo with LOST LEGION / SWEET TALKER / WHO PAYS / THE BROLIC

Okay thanks for looking…
