I think that’s what this summer was for me.

Giving my whole heart to the people, the story, the music, the work, and the place. And somehow, in return, I came home with more love than I left with.

The loveliest place, and the best people under the heavens.

This summer I had the incredible opportunity to testify of Jesus Christ by performing in the pageants out in Nauvoo, Illinois. Surrounded by some of the most talented, but also the humblest and most selfless people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, we got to share the stories of our ancestors and the sacrifices they made to follow their Savior, and build His temple. I love Jesus, and I’ve come to know Him so much better in this place. From virtual callbacks to rainstorms to dance rehearsals to the gym to the popcorn to the white monsters to the singing and the laughing and the love, thank you to all the people who shared His light this summer. Nauvoo, I will be forever homesick for you. Thank you for changing my life again.
