The Video for RESET by Nick Lutsko is out now on Youtube! Go and watch it (link in bio)

I'm so excited to share this with everyone this is one of the segments I worked on for the video along with some great help on the backgrounds and compositing by Tim Farell. Tim really pulled this shot together and pushed it further than I thought it could go.
He also has worked on some of my favourite shows ever (Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Freakshow, Chosen America the Motion Picture, Atlanta Squidbillies, It's Always Sunny, Archer!) He also composited the whole of RESET.
The description of this shot was that Nicks head was going to be turned into a Webby award (see "I am a Persecuted man" by Nick Lutsko where he taunts many different Hollywood elites and Ringo Starr about their lack of a Webby Award (tm))
So I looked at a bunch of eighties horror anime looking for some inspiration and then did what I always do and referenced Evangelion. I then spent a lot of time figuring out how to rig a Webby award like a spring in Blender only to use a still of it for environment stuff.
It was an amazing experience though and I met so many amazing animators and learned so much.

Creative Direction by Nayt Cochran
Animation Supervisor / Storyboard Support by Mike Patten
Compositing by Tim Farrell
Produced by Elias Gertler and Brandon Stein
Featuring Nick Lutsko, Mikey Fuller, Jon Elliott, Asa Williams, Riley Smith, and Emily Harris
Live action segments shot by Justin Cipriani, Riley Smith and Trevor Whalen

Just realised I haven't changed the prints in my room for about 10 months, I usually change them 2 or 3 times a year 😄
