Vancouver cafe hopping guide ☕️

#vancouver #canada #coffee #cafe #guide

A proper coffee and breakfast stop to kick off the day.

Good donut, always a good idea.

Because one coffee stop is never enough.

A little treat never hurts.

Cozy corner. Natural light and nowhere to rush.

Stay for one more cup.

When coffee turns into shopping.

London fog is a must go order in Vancouver.

For the cute cafe lovers.

🎃 spices season.

One drink becomes a whole afternoon.

Came for coffee, stayed for the vibe.

Save this for your next cafe hopping day.

The Strawberry Matcha (CAD $9), Matcha Latte (CAD $8)
.
Jude Coffee is one of the newest cafe in Vancouver that recently opened on W 8th Ave! They are located inside Particles which is a family friendly space. This cafe is created by the same team as Peace & Culture in East Van. The cafe aesthetic is super minimal but also has a pop of color incorporated into the interior.
I got myself a strawberry matcha. Their strawberry matcha flavor is not like the ones that we normally taste, it has a hint of spice and it was very interesting. The drink has blended milk, oat, rice and coconut, I guess that makes the drink have a unique taste compared to all strawberry matcha out there. The matcha latte on the other hand was just ok, it was a bit grainy and the matcha flavor was not as strong. Maybe because I had the strawberry matcha first and it created such a big comparison between the two.
Honestly I’m very impressed by how they created a strawberry matcha that tasted good and it’s different. Not that I would agree normalizing paying $9 for a matcha drink is right, but I appreciate them for being innovative and at least giving us a quality drink!

Sometimes as parents, we don’t just need another play date—we need a moment to pause, sip a genuinely good cup of coffee (or matcha), and know our kids are in a safe, fun space. ☕🧸✨

Founded by Maggie, @particles.ph is the first space truly designed around the parent’s experience—a haven to take a breather, connect, or work. As someone who deeply cherishes these early, fleeting years, I loved having the choice: take a little break while educators lead the room, or play together in a beautiful space built for both of us to enjoy.

@jude.yvr (from Peace & Culture Coffee) serves top-tier espresso inside the serene space. Here’s what to know to plan a visit:

🧸 THE PARTICLES EXPERIENCE
• Parent-Centric Design: Aesthetic space where cafe seating and play coexist.
• Educator-Led Play: ECEs guide Montessori-inspired play areas.
• Specialty Coffee: Outstanding drinks and pastries by Jude Coffee.

💡 PRO TIPS FOR PARENTS
• Parking: W 8th & Alma is tight! Allow extra time or take transit (W 4th/Broadway).
• Grip Socks: Required for kids in the play area.
• Flexible: Parents are welcome to stay and play with their little ones.
• Small Groups: Capped at 8–10 kids max.

🎟 PRICING & DETAILS
• Drop-In Play ($18/child): Thu–Sun, 10 AM–12 PM (ages 5 & under).
• Studio Sessions ($28/child): 60-min educator-led session (up to 8 kids).
• Private Playdates ($275): 90-min private booking for up to 8 kids.
• Parties & Cafe: Private venue rentals available.
• Cafe Access: Open to the public—stop in anytime for Jude Coffee without a play session!

Happy International Coffee Day ☕!

What a way to start my favourite month - checking out a new coffee shop, sipping my first PSL of the season and supporting our friends at @jude.yvr 😌🎃🍂.

Jude currently has residency inside @particles.ph, a children's club that has a space for adults and children to connect among community. They have specialty espresso and matcha drinks that can be paired with @exanimocoffee pastries. They are also an @oatside stockist so you can get your drinks deliciously dairy free 😋. Check them out!
