🇬🇧 A new study from music licensing company PPL PRS has found that underground music could be the most effective genre for plant growth…

Researchers surveyed 1,000 gardeners and tracked plants exposed to different audio conditions, with underground music outperforming classical by a wide margin. Roses reportedly responded best to Judy Bleeding, while marigolds favoured underground music coming out of the US from artists like Lain. The study credits 808s with recreating the natural vibrations plants feel outdoors, helping them source water, and found producers like Clay10 particularly effective on houseplants 👀

I was intrigued to learn that high frequency sounds in drum kits used by Zoja & Js31 of Muneyteam were also found to attract bees, boosting pollination. One condition, one of Judy Bleeding’s tracks produced by Wunof1ne, reportedly exceeded the limits of the measurement equipment entirely, and data collection was discontinued. Gardeners across the UK are said to be adapting to these findings by updating their playlists with music from many of the artists and producers surrounding those named in the study… 🪴

Which underground track would you play to your plants? Let me know in the comments 📝
