cheers to the debut of our collective @sydidentified

max and I thought we would only have 20 people rock up .. and we had over 200 people there for our first event 🥲

to everyone who purchased a ticket, thank you truly 🫶
we appreciate it so much and it helps bring the community together so we can share music and artists to play more shows and events to keep the arts alive !

this night is a special one to remember - thank you to all our support DJs and ofcourse, Marcella @rayofsunshiine3 💞

we want to grow this into something massive one day 🫶 but for now, we’re focused on shining a light on the incredible local DJs and artists who are pushing for change within the Sydney scene, especially those aligned with garage, UKG and UK adjacent sounds.

we believe in the culture, the community and the future of garage music, and we can’t wait to keep sharing with you to the keen selectas who are bringing something fresh and making every event one to remember.

this is only the beginning 🫶

Wow, where do I begin… ngl getting a little emotional writing this post…

This journey has been nothing short of a whirlwind, crazy, rollercoaster of an adventure. I ventured into many creative pursuits before, but none that had the adrenaline of what I felt on June 14th. That energy was simply on another level and the high hasn’t left since then.

My main takeaway? DJing is serious business. Being able to move a crowd, curate a collective experience, give and receive energy, is an art form that I deeply respect so much. There’s no way AI can replace DJs… Creating my first ever DJing set taught me the extent of music research, time and energy that a DJ puts into crafting a journey. And the party you get to be a part of, is the best fruit you can reap.

Thank you @yourshotau, @zerotwohq, my tutor @carolina_gasolina and wholesome classmates for such an amazing experience that I will never forget. I’m so grateful to have shared an experience where we all dove into uncharted territory, and came out with knowledge, community and shared love for music.

To more gigs, as DJ Vwish <3

Definitely nerve wracking yet exhilarating moment with continuous adrenaline rush throughout my set, but I am so glad & grateful to have this opportunity at @yourshotau this year 🎧🎶💥

Massive shoutout & appreciation to my incredible trainers @kaliopi_au & @timba.wav during this condensed training period. The encouragement, support & the constant uplifting energy made the whole experience so special 😭❤️Even tho I kept hassling them

OF COURSE to all the beautiful souls including my friends just your high-spirited energy during the set kept me going and I cannot express how thankful for all the support 🥹💖 literally “lift me up” moment 🍰✨iykyk

To all the DJs who performed, just absolute madness 🔥Bringing that energy on the same weekend where we all started is honestly unbelievable like sheesh

Special thanks to @iamdonlow for official approval to use his songs during my first ever set 🙏❤️‍🔥 You have no idea how much this means to me

Massive love & appreciation once again to our sponsors
