Something couples often ask us is: Will you scout our venue/locations before hand? ⁠
⁠
The answer? We’ll generally do some online scouting to see what’s available at your venue/location(s), and if time permits, we’ll do some scouting on the day of as well. ⁠
⁠
However, the trouble with scouting locations in advance is that shooting conditions may be different between the scouting time and the wedding day (lighting, weather, season, etc). ⁠
⁠
But with our expertise, your flexibility and a focus on telling your unique story, we’ll find all the best spots in any condition. ⁠

Some weddings are about the venue.

Some weddings are about the city.

This one was both.

Jennifer and Joe got ready at the InterContinental New York Barclay, which felt a little nostalgic because it’s the same hotel where we photographed their engagement session. The only difference? Last time it rained. This time, July decided to give us sunshine and temperatures that felt more like September. I’ll take it.

Jennifer had one request: “I want New York City to be part of the story.”

So that’s exactly what we did.

Classic architecture. Skyline views. A little walking. A lot of laughing. We chased the sunset along the Hudson River, and somehow ended the night with ice cream. (Huge shout out to Andy at Current by @thepiersixtycollection for making that happen. Totally unnecessary, completely appreciated, and exactly the kind of hospitality that makes a wedding unforgettable.)

The wedding party brought all the color with a rainbow of soft pastels, the traditional lion dance brought incredible energy to the reception, and my favorite part of the day was watching Joe’s two children woven into every part of the celebration. You could tell this wasn’t just a wedding—it was a family becoming even more of a family.

Backstage at the #TWP New York Fashion Week show, Romy kicked things off with the run-through of the key look and, after years in the industry, she knows one thing holds up every time: skin comes first. #NYFW

This look was all about letting skin shine through, which is exactly why she chose #Danucera as prep for the day.

Before a single brush touched the face, @romyglow started every model with Cerabalm. It melts away buildup, stays gentle on the barrier, and leaves skin smooth, cushioned, and ready for makeup to sit beautifully through the entire show (and then some).
