• Walked around for Blue Bottle (I will only walk long distances for coffee) ☕️

• Got distracted while walking and bought goodies from Glossier. Not in pic: my cousin @sonicy0u calling me a basic bitch and me defending myself by saying “excuse me I’ve been a Glossier supporter since they first launched with Emily Weiss, who also founded Into the Gloss!!!” 😤

• Biked around with Migs. Super fun like kulang nalang for Dreams by Fleetwood Mac to be playing in the background kind of fun 😆

• MCA with Migs and @juleneshaffer 🩵✨

• Went to a baseball game with Tita @flipinchic and Tito Andrew just to get my Chicago hotdog fix bcos duh!!!

I remember the day clearly. My laptop open in my high school physics class, displaying my newly curated Pinterest board titled “Loyola.” My future, I had hoped, stared straight at me. Its contents were filled with pictures of friends I didn’t have and memories I longed to create. To me, my fantasized life at Loyola was the ultimate dream or at the very least, a manifestation of how deeply I wanted my life to get better.

That day, January 12, 2021, I made a promise to myself that things had to get better, and I would do whatever it took to be happy with wherever I was at in life. I had no idea that leaving the bubble of my hometown would be the catapult I needed to feel comfortable in who I was and start truly living.

Thank you @loyolachicago for not only making my Pinterest board a reality over these past four years, but also for giving me life long friendships, my dream job, and experiences—more than my 17-year-old self could have ever imagined.

Here’s to continuing to dream BIG.
