Dakar sits at the westernmost point of Africa and catches swell 365 days a year. Its surfers have been riding it for four generations. DAKAR DREAM follows three of them chasing the WSL, the Olympics, and a surf school to raise the next one, filmed entirely on their own cameras and WhatsApp voice notes. No interviews, no fed lines, no crew flying in for two weeks of golden hour.

Para los que no me conozcáis, soy Mounaim 👋🏽

Nací y crecí en el Sáhara🐪 y llevo muchos años viviendo en el País Vasco. El surf lleva formando parte de mi vida desde pequeño y de una forma u otra, también ha sido la causa de muchas de las personas que he conocido, lugares que he visitado y momentos que he vivido 😍🥰

Después de años enseñando surf y compartiendo olas con gente de todas partes, tenía muchas ganas de hacer algo así: llevaros a casa, enseñaros las olas en las que crecí y compartir con vosotros un poquito de cómo se vive allí.✨🌅

Así nace Maktub. Con muchas ganas de surfear, de enseñaros mis sitios favoritos y de que conozcáis el Sáhara como lo conozco yo🫰🏾

Over the past year or so I've been working on a new collection, learning a lot along the way, and understanding more and more that good things take time.

So after a long absence I'd like to start introducing some pieces I've been working on. Over the course of the next little while I'd like take you a little deeper into my practice and process of learning about materials that I've previously been rather unfamiliar with, and I am extremely grateful for the guidance and support I've received in being able to deliver these pieces to you.
