On a cold winter day like today (though it should be spring), we can only dream of warm weather, when you can enjoy the cooling and relaxing qualities of the St. Lawrence River on a summer day. Alternatively, you can admire Jules Crowley's stunning landscape and the majestic river nearby.

Jules' landscape paintings often feature water and "the Islands," reflecting memories of childhood by the river and summer cottage stays. We can't stop looking at these landscapes and looking forward to warmer days ahead.

See Jules' work at Before the Summer, Collectible Art Show and Sale on April 24, 35 & 26, 2026, at the Firehall Theatre in Gananoque.

What a pleasure and honour it was to be a part of this year’s @beforethesummerartshow ! Huge thank you to the organizers @marthastroudart @moniquevansomeren @siantuckerartandthings for their care and work into creating and marketing the show, and for their wonderful help and kind gestures!

It takes a village - Martha generously gave me some black fabric that I set grommets into for the backdrop, and @davidlslackart lent me the grid walls that supported the entire thing 😅 @arty_sincraft as always was a huge help, and he even played some live piano 💞

It was so great to meet and converse with all of you other artists and visitors in the show, and a big big thank you to my new collectors! 🙏❤️ “Anchor”, “Held in Crescent Light”, and a handful of new cards of “Hilton Falls” found a new home.

Thanks for the photo - @sharlenawoodart and Kelsey!

Jules Crowley will bring her portraits and gorgeous landscape paintings to the show. We certainly admire this beautiful scene, which is typical of the 1000 Islands region. We all look forward to the warm glow of the sunlight on our beautiful area. This painting lets you see it year-round, even during cold and snowy days. Look at Jules Crowley's work at the Before the Summer Show, starting in 8 days. #beforethesummer #artshowandsale #1000Islands #riverview #landscapeartist #Gananoque
