People see the runway... but they don't always see the journey. ✨

On Saturday, I had the privilege of taking part in Afterglow – A Summer Runway Event, and what an incredible experience it was.

From rehearsals to the final walk, there were plenty of laughs, lots of encouragement and a fantastic group of people supporting one another every step of the way.

People often assume this must have been about confidence.

For me, it wasn't.

I started modelling again at 47 because I absolutely love it. It lights me up. In 2021, I was incredibly proud to be crowned Classic Miss British Isles, so walking a runway has never really been what scares me.

The part that challenged me was the dancing!
We had just three rehearsals to learn both the catwalk and the dance routine, and while I love to dance, this style definitely doesn't come naturally to me! 😅

There were definitely moments when I wondered whether I'd remember the routine... but somehow we all pulled together, supported one another and had such a fantastic time.

That's the thing about growth.

Sometimes it isn't about being the best in the room.

It's about being willing to learn, practise and give it your all.

I hope I never stop saying yes to opportunities that make me smile, challenge me and remind me that life is meant to be lived.

Because the memories are almost always worth it. ❤️

A little behind-the-scenes tip... my Tropic makeup stayed put all day in that glaring sun through the glass thanks to a final spritz of my Tropic Finishing Touch Makeup Setting Spray before I left. It definitely earned its place in my runway bag! 💚

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the event such a special experience. I loved every minute of it.

✨ I'd love to know... what's one thing you've said "yes" to recently that took you outside your comfort zone? Or is there something you've always wanted to try but haven't yet? Let me cheer you on in the comments! ❤️

Life lately... ❤️

Some weeks are a blur.

Business meetings. Networking. New opportunities. Dance rehearsals for this Saturday's fashion show with @styledboutiquechester in Chester. Catching up with family. Making time for good food, great conversations and the people who make life that little bit brighter.

I've learnt that success isn't just about building a career.

It's about building a life.

One filled with experiences, laughter, courage, new friendships, stepping outside your comfort zone and saying yes to opportunities you might once have talked yourself out of.

Between World Privilege Plus, helping launch the SheInspires Marketplace, growing my Tropic business and preparing for Saturday's show, life feels wonderfully full right now.

And I'm incredibly grateful for it.

Here's to making memories as well as making plans. ✨

What have you been up to lately?

Running your own businesses isn’t always the glamorous highlight reel ✨

It’s long days, a LOT of determination, constant problem-solving… and showing up even when you’re exhausted.

But it’s worth it 🖤
(Especially when there are approx. 14 food stops involved 😅)

Favourite pit stop will always be @theacaigrove 🫶🏼

✨ We are beyond grateful! ✨

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who supported our Strut Show raffle, we raised an amazing £3351.65 for The Hospice of the Good Shepherd 💜

These funds will help provide counselling for those who need it most, offering comfort and support during the hardest times. This is something very close to our hearts at HOD.

To every single person who bought a ticket, donated a prize, or cheered us on – thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Together, we’ve made a real difference. 🫶

A HUGE shoutout to @katy_breathcoach & Sophie who worked so hard in organising this amazing raffle!
