I watch this movie often. It’s my all-time favourite. But seeing Romeo + Juliet on the big screen again for the first time in 30 years at its in-concert world premiere at the Sydney Opera House, with a live soundtrack performed by an incredible 12-piece hybrid ensemble from the Metropolitan Orchestra, brought me straight back to the exact moment I knew that all I wanted to do in life was filmmaking. And Leonardo DiCaprio. #romeoandjulietinconcert

What started as an idea, a sketch, a passion project, turned into a Global moment for Canva ! I would like to recognise all the incredible people who made it happen, the vision is a powerful thing but we wouldn't have gone far without hours of work from the most talented, passionate and brightest people across 11 different teams (the list of people is endless) !

It’s been just over a year since I launched @chelon_design - where does the time actually go? It’s been a whirlwind of amazingness and I’m so grateful for everyone’s support. I’m very lucky to have very kind friends in photography, magazines, design and business who really rallied to help me in so many ways, I’ve tagged as many as insta would let me - what a bloody awesome creative community we have in Aus. So grateful for you all. And of course all of my incredible customers, your support honestly makes us do a giddy happy dance when each order comes through 🙏🏻💃 thank you thank you

Last week was the end of an era as I said goodbye to the dream team at Home Beautiful Magazine. It’s been a whirlwind 3.5 years since @wendymooreedit hired this country gal over Skype (still grateful) and I loved every second. I couldn’t have asked for better mentors in @katrina.obrien36 @sarahjburman @imogeneabady @wendymooreedit and I certainly didn’t expect to walk away with so many lifelong friends… (yes you’re stuck with me). You know what else I didn’t expect? To get back behind the mic after leaving radio for this very job, to get to spend the occasional Friday on set with @cathmuscat @johnmangila and @kerrieworner as they made magic in the kitchen, to turn up at the office in the exact outfit as at least one of my work wives on any given day OR to get my very own HB cover! I have learned so very much from ALL of the brilliant women I got to work beside (and you @gavinjameskirk ) as well as the truly talented and inspiring people whose stories I got to help share. I will miss the HB bubble, but I'm so glad I got to a part of it 💕

As my time @homebeautiful comes to an end I can honestly say it’s been the most awesome ride. For 13 years I’ve been ‘living the dream’. My beautiful, talented and dedicated HB family, past and present and the amazingly gifted stylists, photographers and writers I’ve meet along the way will stay in my heart forever ♥️ Thank you 🙌🏼 #newdreamsahead #foreverinmyheart

It’s the end of an amazing era as I sadly say goodbye to my time at @homebeautiful this week. But what a lucky girl I am to have worked on such a great mag with the best team ever. There’s nothing quite like crew at HB, will miss you all.

I’ve always believed when one door closes loads more open, so bring on the freelance life, I’m excited 💪🏼🎉
