The Coat of Hopes @coatofhopes arrived with its lovely pilgrims in Hartland yesterday to a wonderful welcoming reception @resurgencetrust with Satish Kumar.

A truly moving moment and project for peace, hope and love in our ecological and climate crisis.

The Coat of Hopes will rest @resurgencetrust until the 27th of November, before its next journey to Teignmouth. We welcome anyone to come and visit the Coat, to help mend or add something small to it. Visiting times are Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri from 10am to 4pm.

Our upcoming session @your.shanti.space is on Saturday 24 Oct from 7pm.

Five musicians will anchor the journey with a LIVE soundscape, inviting you to come and move with us through the elements in this practice: from connecting to the rhythm of the Earth, awakening the Fire within, letting go in the wild Water, finding the freedom in Air and finally integrating your energy in Ether. As Samhain is round the corner too, we will be honouring our ancestors through this dance.

Spaces are limited, please book here:

We had a beautiful gig this afternoon at @sqbraunton . It was a bit quiet to start with, then people started coming in, including one of the sweet couples we played to at @northdevonhospice last week; we ended up with a small arena of listeners, sunlight streaming in through the beautiful windows, lots of laughter and fresh conversations, plus encore requests.
Made our hearts glow. ❤️🙏🏻
Thank you for a lovely afternoon. ☀️

Yesterday marked an important day for us five - Ged, @ania.job.161 , @julesmoberly , @cheryl.silvawood.music & Baz who wasn’t in shot - as we carried out some professional filming for our dance project, formerly known as Live Rhythms.

This new rebranding - Elemental Dance Collective - signifies our commitment to bringing our live elemental journey to more people, communities and those who have participated in our previous sessions in Welcombe, Woolsery and Bideford. We hope to gather more people in authentic held spaces, and to celebrate the freedom of movement as an honest energetic practice.

We had a great day filming - thanks to our lovely dancers - and are so excited for what’s coming ahead.
Supported by @evolvingeventscic , our next session is next Saturday 7pm @your.shanti.space .

Our ‘Deep Beneath The Canopy’ performance at The Guildhall Barnstaple @theploughstannes was one of “tenderness, memories and reconnection to self and Nature”, as shared with us by our attentive audience tonight.

Playing with the incredible @ania.job.161 for the first time (for this production), we were truly moved by the tears, reactions and kind words received after the show, reminding us what a privilege it is to hold space for this every time. 🙏🏻🌳❤️

Thank you to all who came to see us, and to Sharon and the volunteers @plougharts who were absolutely brilliant. 🙏🏻❤️

Ged will join us on percussion and vocals, so if you’re around we hope to see you there!

Amanita Grove presents ‘Deep Beneath The Canopy’.

A journey through Nature, uncovering the secrets of trees and hidden life within the forest through sound, storytelling and spoken word. Weaving an intricate path beneath the canopy, they reveal insights into the (super)natural world, guiding the audience through seasonal changes, life cycles, the elements and folklore.

Amanita Grove is made up of Cheryl Silvawood and Jules Moberly, who are based in North Devon. They bring soulful vocals, percussion, spoken word, Spanish guitar, loops and lo-fi rhythms, holding space for Nature, truth and courage. Embodied in their backgrounds, Cheryl is a woodswoman and ancient and veteran tree specialist, while Jules has extensive experience as a forester. They share their #musicmycelium by bringing people of similar frequencies together with the love of music and connection to our natural environment.

For this performance at Barnstaple Guildhall, they will be joined by musician Ania Job with her ethereal vocals and improvisatory flute playing.
BYOB. 🍷
