Up next for our #execspotlight we have….Julia! 😁💌Read more about her experience joining Panhellenic and more specifically getting involved in a leadership position as a first-year student 👩‍🏫

“As a younger sister to a woman who was in a UCI sorority I always knew I wanted to go through Panhellenic recruitment. Coming to UCI, I was not only moving away from my large family, but I was also separating from my twin sister, who is my built-in best friend 🌷. I knew this was going to be challenge, so I wanted to find a new community of sisters, with women alike and different to me. A place where I would not only be challenged academically and professionally, but have fun and make amazing memories. Once I went through primary recruitment, I knew that UCI Panhellenic was the perfect place for me.

In my first quarter at UCI, I eagerly applied for Panhellenic Exec, not thinking much would come from it. However, I was instantly proven wrong. I can proudly say that being apart of Panhellenic Exec is one of the best decisions I made in my first year at UCI. This role has deeply connected me to my community, my individual chapter, and UCI as a whole 💛. I have thoroughly enjoyed every second of work I have put towards Panhellenic because I know this community will be there for me if I ever need it.

Going Greek has brought me new best friends, memories I couldn’t even have imagined, and has allowed me to grow my drive and self-determination. No matter what you are looking to gain from UCI, I know that becoming a Panhellenic woman will bring you that 🤍☀️”
