Day TWO of The 2025 Blue Duck Memorial Dressage Clinic. 🦋 There is something really sacred about hosting a dressage clinic with such purpose and intention. Each year, I start with generalized plan, a financial outline, important conversations with sponsors and facility managers, so on and so forth. What unfolds throughout the actual weekend itself is something I can’t script. My riders who show up confident enough to be vulnerable, the horses who try their hearts out. The moments of connection between people who might’ve arrived as strangers but left as friends.

Aside from carrying on Blue’s legacy and mission, this is the real heart behind The Blue Duck Memorial Dressage Clinic. It is what sets my clinic environment into a league of its own, if I do say so myself. I found myself pausing again and again this weekend, just to soak everything in. The effort, the community I’ve cultivated, and the courage from every single rider to learn new things even if it was completely outside of their comfort zone. I am SO PROUD of every single rider!! To see the growth from beginning of the lesson to the end of the lesson was simply awe inspiring. 🤍

The Blue Duck Memorial Dressage Clinic isn’t just a fun-filled weekend. It’s a heartbeat, and now, it’s a reminder that even through awful loss, love leaves something powerful behind. I cannot thank our sponsors enough: @tuckertweed, @equinebodyworkonline, and @julia_pohlman. Without them, I couldn’t produce such a successful, inclusive learning opportunity. I am grateful for their unwavering support. @heidibritain, you are a saint and thank you for being my right-hand woman. @katherineabrams, you are a fountain of knowledge. The clinic would never be the same if we didn’t have your thoughtful, caring, insightful wisdoms at the helm. @corrivalranch provided world-class hospitality for every horse. Riders, THANK YOU. I don’t have a clinic to host if I don’t have a group of talented, capable equestrians who 100% put their horse first. 🥹 And lastly, thank you to all of my friends and family who came to support me - who support me in every dream, no matter how grand.

Day ONE of The 2025 Blue Duck Memorial Dressage Clinic. 🦋 I am still processing just how special this past weekend was for me. Saturday set the tone in the best way possible. There was definitely some magic in the air. 🪄

Our arena was filled with such diversity this year! We welcomed various stock breeds and cool crosses, riders of all skill levels, younger horses to more seasoned mounts. Classical dressage, western dressage, barrel racers, professionals and amateurs, Mustangs, Quarter Horses, Paints, a Friesian-Thoroughbred-Paint mare… Watching the moments of understanding between these horse and rider combinations felt like watching the very spirit of Blue’s legacy come alive. We raised money for the @blueduckmemorialfund. Dr. Matt from @fredericksburgequine paid us a visit during lunch and held a very informative discussion about equine salmonella. @faitholivia.studios captured our photography on both days of the clinic, too. We raffled off some pretty fun prizes from @fredericksburgequine and @17handequinenutrition, AND we munched on adorable sugar cookies with our sponsor logos adorned on the top. Corrival Ranch served as our picturesque facility once again. 🌅💓🍪

Day one was buzzing with growth, laughter, and a sense of community that formed right away - like it always does, every single year. The energy was supportive, curious, open-hearted and my people showed up not just to ride, but to connect, to learn, and to grow.

Naturally, I have more thoughts. A lot of them. But for now, another resounding “thank you” to everyone who brought such a remarkable weekend to life. My heart is overflowing with gratitude. It’s a real “pinch me” situation. ♥️

Year three, here we go!! This one is feeling ✨extra✨ special and I am so very proud of the heart behind my clinic weekend. The Blue Duck Memorial Dressage Clinic is almost here, and it marks a special milestone: our very first fundraising event for the Blue Duck Memorial Fund! 🦋🤍

My clinic was born out of a desire to celebrate untraditional journeys in dressage, and to shine a light on the Quarter Horses/Stock Breeds who continue to inspire us with their heart, grit, and versatility. It’s more than just a weekend of lessons. The Blue Duck Memorial Dressage Clinic is a gathering of riders, auditors, and supporters who believe in honoring Blue’s story and carrying his legacy forward.

A few important details:
✨ A portion of every ride will be donated to the fund.
✨ In lieu of a traditional auditor fee, we’ll invite donations to support the cause.
✨ We’re hosting some fun raffle opportunities where folks will be able to win awesome prizes! Each raffle ticket sale will also directly benefit the fund.

Every ride, every cheer from the sidelines, every raffle ticket purchased is a step toward keeping Blue’s impact alive. This clinic is about learning, celebrating, and most importantly? Giving back, together. What a dream come true.
