Hey girl 👋

For those who are new around here, we thought we’d introduce ourselves again.

We’re Ana & Julia, the two people behind Crossshore Collective.

We met in Greece over 10 years ago and bonded over our shared love of being in the water, and a shared passion of getting more women into water sports. Somewhere along the way started talking about how nice it would be to create the kind of trip we’d actually want to go on ourselves.

Something active, but not exclusive.

Something organised, but not exhausting.

And most importantly, somewhere you could turn up on your own and immediately feel like you belong.

So, after a few Aperols, we kinda made it.

Our first Crossshore retreat took us to Vasiliki, Greece this summer, where we spent a week wing foiling, doing Pilates, eating very well and getting to know a stunning group of women.

It was a bit surreal seeing an idea we’d talked about over aperols actually become a real week with real people in a real place.

And, thankfully, we loved it enough to do it all over again.

We’ll be sharing more with you over the next few weeks.

But for now, here’s us!

Earlier this summer I went to Greece to join a Pilates & wingfoil retreat hosted by the amazing @crossshore_collective ✨✨

I am so glad I did! Having zero expectations (and zero time for planning) the week was above and beyond what I thought it would be.

I finally progressed a bit with my wingfoiling. But there are so many other good memories, lots of laughter, awesome Greek food, sea swims, post-session swimming pool hangs in the lushest villa, and great company and chats with the other ladies who were absolutely charging on the foils 🦋🦋🦋

Thanks @ana_berkley and @juliaaweitz for making this retreat so dreamy, welcoming and funny, I can’t wait for the next one 💞

Very happy with my 4th place in freestyle and 4th place in free fly slalom. What a crazy two weeks! Enjoyed every second of it. Although doing 4 disciplines was full full schedule. So here is my summary of the two weeks

We’re back underway with the third heat of the men’s quarter-finals.
The day has already delivered plenty of standout manoeuvres and top-tier athlete knockouts.
Defending World Champion @freeliving8 delivered a clutch performance in the opening quarter-final heats to secure his place in the semi-finals.
On the women’s side, @viola.lippitsch put on a dominant display, posting the highest trick score (8.0) of the competition so far.

Bo’s Diaries | Ep. 3 — El Burrero Sessions

Dear diary,

I forgot how completely unhinged El Burrero is. Overpowered on a 2.5m & 3.0m… because apparently the wind here has no off switch. It just blows. Day. Night. Repeat.

I came here to finally land some front flips, but instead I managed to annoy the same foot I broke a few months ago. Classic. So I’ve been keeping it a bit more chill, and sneaking in a parawing downwind every day. Weirdly, my foot actually feels better afterwards? Make it make sense. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Tomorrow the racing starts in these survival-mode conditions, so wish me luck.

Until then, I’ll be on the water chasing Palau 3s and trying not to get blown to Africa.
