Congratulations @briannareisryan , on being part of a story that reaches beyond the screen and into the realities so many lives are touched by. There is a profound responsibility in bringing stories like this to life — stories that challenge us to look closer, question what we think we know, and confront the human cost behind a crisis that can no longer be ignored. Your talent as an artist is not only in the stories you help tell, but in the impact those stories have the power to leave behind. May this film spark conversations, awaken awareness, and remind us that behind every statistic is a human life. ❤️

After 8 years of dream chasing, last month I got to hit a pretty special milestone. I played Donnie, one of the leads and the main antagonist in The Killing Machine, a feature film about the fentanyl crisis.

For the last few years, so much of my energy has gone into building my own projects that I had pretty much stopped auditioning and acting. Stepping back in front of the camera felt rejuvenating, especially getting to be part of a meaningful story. It reminded me how much I missed that part of the work and why I started doing this in the first place.

Thank you @juliaverdin for trusting me with Donnie. Grateful for the experience and for all the amazing cast and crew I got to work with.

The dream endures 💫

“Work begets work” were the words spoken to me at 4am this morning after a long night by director Julia Verdin (@juliaverdin on Instagram). We were discussing the prospect of me working with her in the future. Her words described my entire Labor Day to follow. A bit sleepy eyed but had a fantastic day getting to know comedy youtube/social media content creator Jack Pop. That’s Jack in the photo. Worked for him today for the first time with more shooting anticipated in the future. But Jack actually reached out to me after seeing my work for Almost Friday TV. Work begets work. Jack Pop does very entertaining family friendly comedy sketches. I want to encourage my friends to join the 2 million people who follow him on Youtube. There’s also Jack Pop on Facebook (@jackpopfb) or @jack_in_the_clouds on Instagram. This young man is a real talent who works very hard. You will love his videos! Yes, I know today was supposed to be day off for most. But as the old saying goes, Labor Day was made for the man. Not man for the Labor Day. Not sure if I quoted that right but I do hope you had a wonderful Labor Day too! #mylaborday #labordayweekend #workingactor #jackpop #actorslife

His Sweet Bella

Arabella (@SarahGraceee) becomes nanny to mafia boss Killian’s (@jacksontiller_) niece, Angela (AvaMargarett), pulling her into a dangerous world where forbidden attraction, secrets, and survival collide.

✨ My Thoughts
This is a classic mafia romance vertical, but it focuses more on slow burn tension and emotional vulnerability than nonstop action. I was hooked from the first episode because it’s really about the relationships, not just the danger.

Arabella is gentle but resilient, never reckless or naive. She carries trauma, yet knows how to care for Angela and create moments of safety in a very unsafe world. Sarah Grace delivers this beautifully, with warmth and emotional grounding.

Killian carries that familiar mafia authority, but the series gives him restraint, inner conflict, and softness rather than pure dominance. This works incredibly well for Jackson and adds depth to the character. The chemistry between Arabella and Killian builds through lingering looks and quiet moments, making the attraction feel natural rather than rushed.

Angela has lost her parents, and Killian is deeply protective of her. Watching her bond so naturally with Arabella adds real heart to the story. Ava brings both vulnerability and warmth to Angela.
Killian’s brother Lucas (@DeclanClifford) is pure trouble. Manipulative, slimy, and determined to take Killian down. Declan plays him incredibly well and makes Lucas genuinely unsettling.

Nora (@thelindyhop) adds another emotional layer to the household. At first, you’re never quite sure where you have her, adding to the tension and unspoken dynamics.

What really works is the atmosphere. Quiet tension, lingering looks, and the constant feeling that something could go wrong. The stakes feel personal, not just violent. Some moments could have been explored more deeply, but the emotional focus keeps it engaging.
