August is one of my favorite months—it *is* my birth month, after all—& it has been a real five-star life over these past few weeks. 🤩🍾🦪

I was endlessly spoiled by incredible food & drinks: complimentary bottle of champagne at my favorite jazz bar while the band played me happy birthday; reserve cocktails with ingredients from the 70s at my favorite steakhouse (where they wouldn’t let us leave without some birthday Dom); oysters & steaks & SO many desserts with cheeky candles to make wishes on. 🕯️Rooftops, museums, the ocean, & the people! Oh, the people, so many friends & family & loved ones—& most especially, my husband—making me feel spectacular every day. 🥲

This has been the most over-the-top, stop-to-smell-the-roses month of all. What a thrill. I think thirty-six will be a good one. 🎱

Our first (ever) tote bag inspired by our five year anniversary graphic, perfectly modeled by @juliengarman

It’s roomy, made of durable fabric, has a pocket, not one but two handles AND a button closure. I mean, it’s perfect.

I'm Krysta, a portrait and branding photographer drawn to the moments that feel honest before they feel polished.

The shift that happens when someone stops performing and starts settling into themselves. The details that quietly tell a story. The feeling of being seen in a way that actually feels familiar.

That's usually the space I'm creating from.

I photograph women, creatives, founders, and brands through portraiture, branding imagery, and visual storytelling that feels thoughtful, grounded, and personal. Sometimes that includes drone work and wider landscapes. Sometimes it's something much quieter. But underneath all of it, I'm usually looking for the same thing. Presence.

I care less about perfection and more about making images people actually recognize themselves in.

So if you're new here, hi. I'm glad you're here.

The White House Correspondents Dinner Weekend isn’t just about the dinner. It’s a series of events and parties to honor those who work so hard in covering the news from the White House and also focus on those issues that help move this country forward. It’s also a chance for a little levity when things are generally more serious and chaotic. So a selfie moments are always encouraged!

Such a fun night celebrating the opening of @sezane in Georgetown. So special to get an early preview of the space and the new collection.

This has always been one of my go to brands not just for myself but for so many of my clients. The quality is beautiful, the pieces feel elevated but still easy, and it consistently works across different wardrobes.

And exciting news! Sézane officially opens its permanent Georgetown location today, Friday, April 24, and is now open to the public.

I’m really looking forward to bringing clients in here and styling in person. It’s such a great addition to Georgetown.
If you’re thinking about updating your spring wardrobe or building out your capsule, DM me or email me and we can set up a shopping session. I would love to take you in and help you find a few key pieces.
