Day one at @bigdubfestival looked a little different this year.

Our founder, @sweetspotsounds closed out the Sweet Sounds Opening Party in a biiiiiig way. Every year, an incredible amount of love, intention, and detail goes into creating this experience for our artists, crew, and community. Wednesday was the perfect way to kick it all off for our early arrivers.

@bigdubfestival gets better and better every year and I am feeling more grateful than ever to be apart of this family and experience the wonders that this place brings and all the amazing new homies that bless my life every year.

Major love and shoutout to @wearesweetsounds for bringing me out. @sweetspotsounds has been cultivating such an epic experience every year and to see the growth over the years is truly incredible. Love you Paulie!

I got to rip 3 sets this year. Big Sweet Sounds gang b2b, solo set Saturday and our annual tom foolery Four Horsemen set Saturday night w the legends @huck.jorris.music @jabbs.official and honorary fill in @sweetspotsounds filling in for the homie Adame this year.

The motivation is sky high after these past few weeks seeing all the homies just absolutely crush. The team is up and we aren’t stopping here. New music coming very soon 🫡

Six years of Sweet Sounds.

Every year I tell myself there’s no way this little idea can keep growing the way it has..and every year this community proves me wrong. Some days I wake up wondering what kind of impact the work I do really has. Moments like these remind me to keep going. We are changing the landscape for the better.

Sweet Sounds has never just been about throwing events or releasing music. It’s always been about creating an environment where people feel like they belong and can grow. Somewhere artists can take chances, friendships can form and strangers can leave feeling like family.

This past year challenged us in all the best ways. We welcomed incredible new artists to the label, expanded our presence at festivals we love, built new stages, created new experiences, grew our artists to new heights and somehow found ourselves surrounded by even more people who believe in what we’re building.

What started as a passion project has become my life’s work, but none of this exists because of one person. It exists because of every artist who trusted us with their music, every staff+volunteer who showed up early and stayed late, every photographer, vendor, sponsor, promoter, production crew, and every single person who’s bought a ticket, streamed a release, worn a Sweet Sounds shirt or simply told a friend to come check us out.

You are the reason we’re still here.

The older Sweet Sounds gets, the more I realize success isn’t measured by numbers or money. It’s measured in JOY and smiles. By the messages saying someone found their favorite artist through us. The friendships that started on our dance floors. The artists landing opportunities after believing in themselves a little more. The feeling of looking around a room and realizing this community has become something much bigger than any one of us.

Six years in and it still feels like we’re just getting started.

Thank you for believing in this dream, for growing alongside us, and for continuing to make Sweet Sounds feel like home. Cheers to more art and moments we will never forget.
