A few honest words I've written down this year in August. It feels like it was yesterday:

I knew that moment would be coming eventuelly but realising it, brought me to a very dark place mentally in August.
By experiencing drastic hormone-, body- & weight-changes from the end of March and living with the symptoms of Lyme-desease since the end of May (in total over 4 months), made it impossible to perform at an high level from then on... I was feeling ready before the season until things out of my control were happening. I don't wanna plead for support nor pity because I know that this is how high-level sport is functioning... yet, it seems that the bare numbers matter more than the long-term health or potential.
I believe that this isn't a sustanaible way neither for the sport nor the athletes! There needs to be the space to heal & recover from anything and the surroundings have to provide that. That's crucial to lower the barrier of seeking help & of stopping anything harming for your body because normally this takes time (more than only 1 year) and has to be supported, especially in the youth!!
Personally, I've found myself in an emotional & mental burnout from late summer on and I'm still trying to recover from that. Wanting to push for too long always shoots back.
It felt incredibly unfair, but now I can see sth positive because I had no other choice than commiting to a big change now!

PS: I'm grateful for those around me (also some sponsors) who support me through this challenging phase!

33rd SEA Games 2025
Lead 8th
Boulder 8th

Came into the competition with no expectations for myself as it was my first international open competition. But for some reason I still felt a lot of pressure.

I had recently come back out of a resting period and therefore didn’t have as much time as I would’ve like to train for this competition.

It’s not the actual ranking that I am disappointed with (all though there is some of that) but more of how I climbed and performed.

Going to work on this and come back stronger 🔥

Overall still a super fun completion and was glad to have the opportunity to compete at the Open level for the first time as well as see some of my South East Asian friends!
