Convict Lake is a large, deep Lake tucked between the granite peaks in the Eastern Sierra that rarely freezes before the winter's first snowfall. Jon and I were extremely fortunate to have perfect conditions, perfect weather and perfect wild ice to fly across space and time.

The end of a badass sumer. 😎 Mike packed in scuba gear for the Clean Up the Lake Project at McCeod Lake. They loved having the mules and Diesel there. We have been having fun with fire and new projects. Of course... hauling hay and horses.

Today, my OG, flock matriarch, snuggle bug, bear, coyote and dog attack evading bearded beauty, Wanda, turns 3.

When the last hen goes in the coop at night, I can count on her to high tail it to the back door and stare through the window till I give her one last snack before running out to go to bed with the others. It's like she knows she's getting away with something and that she's my favorite.

She's spent nights out hidden in the forest when a predator comes through, coming home in the morning when the coast is clear. She's got the highest IQ in the flock, wings down.

I can also always count on her for a snuggle. Seriously. She likes a little massage under the wings and purrs like a kitten.

And they said chickens were dumb...tisk tisk, not Wanda.

Happy birthday Wanda, you little smarty pants you. You'll always be the favorite.

I went to the Benton Music Festival to see Dave Stamey live and in person. Ashley, Jon, Ruby and her parents came too. It's always a treat to see Dave play!

Our friendship really isn’t one of the oldest and longest since I only met @a_inmotion less than a decade ago. But the times we spent together were epic. Lots of lengthy time in nature & everything in between will really get you to know someone. I love how I think back to our convos of what we envisioned for days like this (really no traditional expectations) & now we’re here and we’re both married 🤪. I was able to witness true love at its finest & it was truly perfect. Honored to be part of this beautiful day & call this woman one of my very best✨💕. We love you guys!
