One of my favourite parts of songwriting is doing research and coming up with different cultural references. I feel like they are the secret sauce in hip-hop songs.

As I rapped on my song “Babymoon,” references I mention can get oddly specific. Vintage clothing and archival fashion are major themes on this album, so that’s the world where lots of these references come from.

These are a few of my favourite lyrics from Forager and the meaning behind them.
