🔥 BANJELA x JUELIO PRODUCTIONZ — IN DE SPIRIT | SOCA 2027 🔥

🗣️ TIME TO TAKE BACK WE NATION!

For too long, guns and violence have plagued our beautiful twin-island Republic. It’s time to lift our spirits, protect our communities and let love lead! ❤️🤍🖤

For 2027, we not just chipping down the road—we calling on the Almighty Creator, honouring our ancestors and getting IN DE SPIRIT to make a positive change! 🙏🏿🥁✨

🕊️🇹🇹 A City Remembers a Legend

Following the passing of the legendary Calypso King of the World, The Mighty Sparrow, the City of San Fernando joined in paying continued tribute to one of Trinidad and Tobago’s most influential cultural icons.

His Worship the Mayor, Councillor Robert Parris, joined calypsonian and Vice - president of TUCO Steve Pascall, known as Ras Kommanda and Kaisokah Moko Jumbies Founder and recent Hummingbird Medal (Bronze) recipient, Mr. Junior Bisnath, in honouring Sparrow’s extraordinary contribution to calypso and our nation’s cultural heritage.

The tribute continued as children from Windermere Private School visited City Hall, where His Worship shared a photograph of Sparrow and spoke with them about his remarkable legacy and the lasting impact of his music on generations of Trinidadians and people around the world.

Against the backdrop of a billboard commemorating Sparrow’s decades-long contribution to calypso, a Moko Jumbie paid tribute through movement to one of the legendary calypsonian’s songs, a fitting celebration of a cultural legacy that continues to live on.

The City of San Fernando continues to invite members of the public to pay their respects by signing the Condolence Book for The Mighty Sparrow, available at San Fernando City Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily until his funeral.

May the music, memory and legacy of The Mighty Sparrow continue to inspire generations to come. 🇹🇹🕊️

Today, August 11th, I travelled home to Trinidad and Tobago, the country of my birth, to celebrate World Steel Pan Day!
A special highlight was meeting up with my 85-year-old aunty on the Ritual March — a beautiful reminder of the generations that keep our culture alive.
Congratulations to @theofficialbeverleyramseymoore , @pantrinbago , and all the youth steelbands across the country carrying our pan culture forward with such pride and passion.
A special thank you to @juniorbisnath for bringing that Moko Jumbie spirit!
Happy World Steelpan Day! Our ancestors are proud! Trinidad🇹🇹
