We're really looking forward to the next Wee Anti-Racist Library this coming Saturday, as part of the Beltane celebrations at @forgan_arts_centre.
We have some great new additions to the library which people are welcome to check out, enjoy and borrow.
This month's library will be starting a bit later, to follow on from the May Day March across the water in Dundee.

I got this book less than 24 hrs ago and have already devoured it. The author describes this book as “kaleidoscopic” in structure, and it certainly was. I loved the nonlinear vignettes showcasing a life of trauma, resistance, and unrelenting hope. The literary references used to discuss our culture were fascinating, ranging from Dracula to Lolita to Frankenstein to Circe. This is a quick firecracker of a book and i recommend it to all feminists!!

It's such an incredible honor that ABSOLUTE PLEASURE is on the @literaryhub list of notable small press books for the year. I am such a believer in the power and importance of independent publishers—right now more than ever before in my lifetime. Creating this love letter to queer and trans community and this beautiful and bizarre camp spectacular film and its fifty year history has been such a joy—truly a labor of love.

I'm grateful to everyone who played a part in bringing this book to life, especially the 26 other writers who contributed their stories and words to the book, and to Ro Salarian for the gorgeous cover art. I'm glad we could put something into the world that might be meaningful to readers out there.

✨Meet the contributors!✨ Juniper Fitzgerald is first and foremost a mama stumbling through myriad social expectations of motherhood whilst raising an intersectional, radical feminist. She is also the author of How Mamas Love Their Babies (2018), the only children’s book to feature a sx-working parent, as well as Enjoy Me Among My Ruins (2022), a memoir about sx work, grief, and addiction. She contributed to the anthologies We Too: Essays on Sx Work and Survival (2021) and Absolute Pleasure: Queer Reflections on Five Messy Decades of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (2025). She holds a PhD in sociology (but please don’t hold that against her).
