༺☆༻
up next, introducing sheffield’s shoegaze sweethearts @junkbanduk 🗑️ ✰ .ᐟ

── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
the four-piece are taking the trip over from the steel city, where they have quickly become one of its must-see acts, blending jangly guitars, vocal harmonies layered with a thick and textured reverb alongside guttingly raw melodies and haunting vocals as the quartet create their own blend of nu-gaze full of distortion, longing and atmosphere influenced by bands such as cocteau twins, or sorry that i have been completely obsessed with, since a friend recommended that I listen at the end of last year, and stuck in my head was their whole discography from the beautiful ‘junkmail’ to the gorgeously delicate and spacious ‘compact disc’ making them the perfect continuation from the dreamy noise of openers ‘damselfly’ and one that i’m so excited to see rock it up on stage

and with just a week till the show you can grab tickets through the link in bio and come witness it yersel! ⋆˙⟡

opening the night, the ever dreamy @damselflyband ✰ .ᐟ

── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
formerly known as ‘chokers’, the three-piece has grown wings and developed into something that fits the dreamy, more alternative, and shoegaze sound that they’ve been building across the city for the last couple of years, relying on driving rhythms and hazy, melodic textures, all backed up by stunning visuals to create an atmosphere so layered and beautiful in a life-altering live experience that has made them both one of my own, but also the city’s favourite bands to champion and witness, if you’re a fan of mogwai, or sugarcubes imagine blending them together, class right?
